Lets say we end up with 30 on our team. 25 regular and 5 AAA. And we cut 4 down to 26 after the season. Could we designate 8 of them as AAA so that we could draft 7 in the regular phase. Or would we have to wait until the AAA draft to pick because altogether our roster includes 26? It seems like the AAA part of our roster coul;d cause some confusion. So if you could explain how that will work for 2nd seasons draft that would help me.
Try to think of it like the MLB has a 40 man roster and 25 active players for any one game....only in our case it is a 35 man roster (25 regular + 10 AAA). When you name your keepers at season's end, the maximum number of players you can draft is 35 minus your keepers. In your example, that would be 9 players (35-26=9).
The only reason I created a "AAA draft' was because I figured some owners would feel like they had sufficient depth and might decline to participate in the AAA portion. Wiping those owners out of the draft order prior to the start of the AAA draft would speed that part of the draft up considerably....and also make my job easier since I now know that "X" number of owners aren't even going to participate.
