This probably should've been an easier win than it was. We went to OT when Slick couldn't sink the front end of a one-and-one to put us up by 2 (or 3) with a few seconds . Villafane (a B- FT shooter) from their team got fouled at the buzzer and sank one of two, so I guess I can't complain. We pulled away somewhat in the extra five minutes. Away games can be tough, even against less-talented teams.

Both Marshall and Blakey got a little banged up. I won't be holding them out of the next game, though.

Now this is a game that I can be pleased with. We destroyed our local rival, Georgetown, in our annual matchup. Everything clicked for us here - offense and defense. Bourget embraced his role as a PG, and Marshall looked for his shot. Really an excellent result.

A big win over a friend/rival. Both sides had trouble scoring from the inside. Marshall won this game for me with a last-second 3-pointer.

Coach, I know you're hearing this all over the place and I don't mean to add to the hype, but the campus is going crazy about your start to the season! No matter what happens, you can't take away a perfect start to the season, although I'm sure you'll be just as disappointed as the rest of us if Maryland doesn't win a conference title. Ok, back to coaching the #4 team in the country :)

Our usual scorers are off but we get a lot of production from the bench. Career game from Parsons, already - hopefully he'll top it somewhere down the line, of course, but surprisingly proficient at an early stage.

Duke may not be quite as worthy an opponent as usual, this year, but this is still a quality win on the road, and I've never seen Duke get destroyed like this in the real world, let alone by UMD, so that's fun.

We let them hang around for too long and they made a run (with 3-pointers) to reach OT. We beat them there, though.

Huge road win against our principal division rival. We lead by 20 at the half and then just kind of held on as time was our friend.

Unless we make the Final Four (or better) this will probably be the peak of the season.

I guess we must've been due for a letdown, but I find this one to be pretty unbelievable. Top ranked teams simply do not perform this badly.

Clemson hung on for a while in the first ten minutes or so and then got put away by the half. A relatively cushy recovery game.
