I appreciate the effort and the fact you recognized the situation and used the appropriate reference.

I'm going tomorrow. I will not enjoy it.

I was there and it looked like the Dunn HR went through the window. Did it really? Anyone know how far that went?

After that Hr, you could just tell that Villenueva looked done. His pitches looked flat. What I could not figure out is why Dillard got up and started throwing, Kendall went out to stall and then Villenueva was allowed to finish the inning. He has been in the pen all year and he even seemed surprised to start listening to his comments. Dillard was very close to pitching 4 scoreless, I stll don't understand why he didn't start.

I say just go ahead and see what you can get for guys like Hoffman, Looper, Kendall, Cameron, Hardy, Hart and try to get some young pitching and reload for 2010.

Witrado said before the game today, that if they lose 1 of the final 3 against the Nationals they should become sellers. Hoffman and Cameron would have the most value to other teams. I agree. This team isn't getting to the playoffs without Cliff Lee and Roy Halladay so it makes no sense giving up prospects to win 85 games.

However, with 40,000 fans in the stands almost every night and the team still statistically in contention, I don't see Attannasio allowing Melvin to be a seller.

Haudricourt posted about a rumor that has Weeks going to the Mariners for Washburn. He would be traded as a PTBNL since he's on the DL.

That would be just awful. But less awful than Escobar for Washburn and Morrow.

Grate Brewer pitching.

That looks like just more foxsports.com BS speculation. It became apparent that the M's would not pry Escobar away so they needed to come up with another story to keep the rumor alive.

Fox Sports NOW reporting that Brewers are out of the Washburn talks, having finally realized that giving up anything of value for two months of Washburn is completely ridiculous for a sub-.500 team that is rapidly taking on water.

Still no move, at least the Brewers will not be swept by the Nats.

My record is now 4-4. I can no longer be called a curse to the team, since my winning percentage is higher than the team's.

The dumb money wins, Brewers back to .500.

WOW! Bill Hall accepts assignment to AAA Nashville.

Also, Jeff Suppan put on DL with oblique strain.

Two open spots on the roster, seems like a trade will be announced soon. Recent rumors have the team looking at San Diego starter Kevin Correia.
