The thing is 'Team Speed', the Hawks are just the faster team. In order to slow them down, means penalty box country.... So unless the Flames can find a way to slow them down WITHOUT making a parade to the sin bin..I see other win for the Hawks

U beat speed by playing position, get out of position, your shot, either scoring chance or sin bin. I think we get caught trying to playing Hawk style hockey and we ain't going to compete in that game.

Oh I don't know about that holer, that 'has been' and 'chain smoker' are both players that will be at Vancouver this February. Though I agree, what's behind this pair, it always seems to be 'potential' etc. The only consistent thing about the Flames is their inconsistency.

Not all that different to the the team based 2 and 1/2 hours north on the #2 highway. A few years ago, people were saying 'look out when this bunch of youngsters mature!"; well that never really happened. Now they fighting for the #1 pick with the Maple Leafs.

I think the Flames main problem....a guy with the last name Sutter. This GM is stuck in the pre-lockout NHL, where defence ruled as did the trap and the clutch/grab style of hockey. Chicago skated circles around them last night (as they did for 5 reg season games before). The only reason the Flames beat the Hawks in a couple games in playoffs last season, is cause of the stupid NHL's idea that in the playoffs you change the rules (allow players to do stuff that would've meant 2 minutes in the reg season).

That was brutal... Kipper showed up, everybody else banged their sheep.. no hitting, out of position with constant odd man rushes... pathetic scoring chances for...

There is absolutely no net presence for this team and no scoring beyond Iggy and he isnt scoring so we be FUBAR.

Time to hit the panic button... our trade bait is worth nothing with how they have played, so it is going to have to be internal
