Confernece Tournament

South champion Westminster gets a break in the CT. Their 3 strongest rivals...Franklin, Bluffton, and Transy...are in the opposite bracket.

Those 4 teams are locks for the NT. Manchester could make it, too, if they win their 1st game. But two wins would secure a berth.

Philadelphia Biblical could also sneak in. They could meet Manchester in the quarterfinals with the winner getting a berth.

Hanover, at 12-14, needs to make the championship game to get the required .500 record for the NT. They have a tall order...beating Franklin, then either Bluffton or Transylvania.

BRACKETS

Mt. St. Joseph meets Hanover. Franklin gets the winner.

Waynesburg battles Bluffton. Transylvania awaits the victor.

Anderson clashes with Thomas More. The survivor gets Westminster

Defiance plays Phil. Biblical with the winner meeting Manchester.

It was a clean sweep for the South teams in the opening round of the Heartland tournament.

Mt. St. Joe upended Hanover 77-67. The loss will likely send Hanover to the PIT.

Phil Biblical beat Defiance 70-62. They meet Manchester in the 'Game of the Day'. Manchester's RPI is 53; Biblical's is 54. The winner could get an at-large bid. The loser will probably end up in the PIT.

Thomas More defeated Anderson 64-59.

Waynesburg stunned Bluffton 78-66. Despite finishing last in the South, Waynesburg's been hot. They've won 4 of 5, defeating Westminster,Hanover and Bluffton in the process.
