"We're not removing frapercaperp from the world at this time."

Alias-away everybody!

Did you expect a different result?

But you know what would happen if I said "Everyone should refuse to trade with him and throw every game to his divisionmates"?

I'd get the boot in a heartbeat.

Sad but true.

I'm not going to tell my wife about my "accidental alias"-unless of course she catches him doing her best friend ...
2/12/2010 9:38 PM
Mike, what if everyone refused to trade and threw every game by accident?
2/12/2010 9:46 PM
I can't speak for anyone else but I almost never have anyone play more than 140 games. I know when I'll be forced to play my back-ups. And I tend to avoid trading with people I think may have attempted to cheat.

May have attempted to cheat?

Maybe we should have let the trade go through then busted him.

Hopefully we've picked it up for you over the last couple of hours.

Of course no one in the league would ever say that much less do it.

Yes thanks - especially to the ultra-patriotic owner that you Marxist oppressors are keeping down.
Why do you guys hate America anyway?
2/13/2010 7:35 AM
We love America. We just can't stand a lot of Americans.

Scenario (purely hypothetical, of course): I find a decent pitcher on the waiver wire. Put in a claim. Then I read on the World Chat that his owner dropped him accidentally, meaning to waive someone else.

I end up getting the pitcher. Then his former owner contacts me, says again that he accidentally waived the wrong guy, and wonder if I'll help him out by trading the guy back.

What is my obligation here? I know I don't have to trade the guy back, but am I being a jerk if I don't? I mean, of course I'd trade the guy in a good deal, but I'm not sure if this other (hypothetical) guy has a good deal in mind, or if he wants a new-guy-who-goofed-up discount. Which of course, since this hypothetical situation is in World Foxx, would surely get vetoed, so perhaps I've answered my own question.

The obligation is to keep him and tell the other owner "lessen learned'.
2/16/2010 9:23 PM
Once an owner selects a player to be waived the owner then has to submit. So there are ways for the owner to correct his mistake.
