Did beef and mushroom and chicken and peppers. Marinated the beef in soy and jack and the chicken white wine and garlic...salt on both

Why is it when one chain does something the rest follow.

Everyone came out with flavored lemoades.

My Grnadmother is in the hospital with a mild heart condition. Been doing some eating while driving visiting her.

Whoppers are hard to eat while driving as are Big Macs. Fillet o Fish are good. The 99 cent burgers all travel ok. Wendys are the messiest.

Cant eat a taco whole driving. Burrito is possible.

Hurt my knee, have been limping around.

Too lazy to go out and get something to eat, so I made what I had in the cubboards.

Can of salmon, can of peas, can of cream of mushroom all over pasta. Add more pepper and it wasnt horrible.

Tried the Mushroom Swiss burger at McDonalds today. Not too shabby. The mushrooms have a real flavor to them. Got a large Sweet Tea for $1. Again not too bad.

Decided to get creative. Was grilling steaks. Got a pound of chicken gizzards and tried to kabob them.

Attempt 1: Tried to do it straight with a little salt and pepper. Very tough.

Attempt 2: microwaved them for 5 minutes in butter. Still tough.

Attempt 3: boiled in watter and olive oil for 30 minutes. basted with garlic butter while cooking. not bad.

Since Nebraska joined the Big Ten today I did corn 3 ways.

1 Hoecakes

2 Corn, peppers and onions fried in garlic butter.

3 Corn on the cob

Hope I can cook up some Longhorns soon.

Wouldnt know how to cook and Aggie!

Got an Achatz pie today at the store down the street from the Comcast office. Boston Creme! Great! Also had great garlic rye bread. The employees are always very helpful and super polite!

Was at Walgreens and they had a new Chex Mix on sale. Bold and Zesty it advertised. Not very bold at all. Not a bad taste, just very cloes to the original.

My mother made some potato salad. She is in town for a few weeks. She cuts up young dills and pusts it in. Great taste.
