He's a big story. They love big stories. If he fails, it was inevitable due to his questionable decision-making. If he succeeds, it's a story of redemption for a kid who made some bad decisions. Tebow got the same treatment last year. If he failed, it's because his skill set just didn't translate to the pro game. If he succeeds, it's because of his hard work and character. I don't think ESPN cares one way or the other on either guy just as long as it's a story.
