TO ALL COACHES
Have four openings for season 21:
Bridgewater (excellent opportunity to jump in and take over a good program)
Roanoke (coach made a lateral move to DII and a decent team behind)
Randolph-Macon (needs some work to rebuild...good project, will garner respect of your peers if you succeed)
Emory & Henry (see Randolph- Macon)

Here are my predictions for the ODAC season "21".

The EAST is going to be very competitive again with 4 teams at legit shots of post season play, and 2 ranked in the pre-season top 10.

1. E. Mennonite ( Hoosier returns a very solid group. Strong on the perimeter again this season, and he has beat me too many times to pick Guilford over him.) NT

2. Guilford (Lost 2 time ODAC player of the year and alot of rebounding but is improved on the perimeter.) NT

3. Bridgewater (Solid from top to bottom with entire team returning. A new coach has taken over after longtime coach Xcaliber's frustration forced him to drop them. PI bid at least.

4. Lynchburg (Another solid team! Could suprise everyone and win the EAST. Is this the year Barrett gets over the hump and into the NT? PI bid at least.

5. Hampden Sydney (Still might be a season away, 5 jr's return but rebounding could be better).

6. Emory and Henry (New coach returns 5 seniors, but they are SIM recruit heavy and outside shooting could be an issue).

Now my predictions for the WEST.

This could be the year for the West to overtake the EAST, with at least 3 teams that should be playing in the post-season.

1. Wash. and Lee (Should again be the team to beat. Whunt practically returns his whole team from a top 60 RPI and PI season). NT bid.

2. Wash. and Jeff. (ulcardfan's rebuild is starting to take shape. Strong in the paint and on the perimeter). PI at least.

3. Roanoke (A new coach has taken over a Sr. heavy team. Should shoot the ball very well. This should be a good challenge for Gonzo to make a run at the NT). PI at least.

4. Virginia Wesleyan (Somewhat of a rebuilding year, but byns has them going in the right direction with a very good recruiting class. Only 2 seniors return that have played sparingly).

5. Bethany (Solid but young team. Could struggle at times).

6. Randolph-Macon (Another Sim recruited team. New coach takes over an upperclass heavy team, but not very high ratings. Good shooters but rebounding will be an issue).

W&L kicks off the Washeonta today vs. #1 SUNY-Oneonta. At #11, we are way over-ranked. While I do think we can have a decent season, we are just not where a couple of my other teams have been in the past....a NT bid is expected (if my non-conf schedule doesnt obliterate us too bad)...but a run past the 1st round would be a shock

That's a mediocre non-conference showing good for 7th overall, only 4 teams below 100 in RPI at this point.
