Agreed.

And I'm really curious about the player potential thing, seems huge to me.

This software adds to the enjoyment of HD.. in no way does it take away from the experience of coaching.

I think that is a really, really difficult statement to back up. I disagree 100%.
And I guess you're bound-and-determined to ignore the questions about player potential?

And further, I reject any notion that I'm threatened by any feature that WIS may choose to implement.. as if I'm in competition. Rather, I am as excited about future implementations as anyone else, and look forward to what lays ahead in this wonderfully addicting game.

If you don't want it, don't buy it. Its a one time fee for a database program, that easily allows you to sort out players of any world or conference. It has unique features to it, that estimate player progression, but in no way guarantee's how they will turn out. The recruiting feature was taken out long ago, to keep people from crying about taking away from the game and giving people who pay for a tool more of an edge.

If someone doesn't want to see discussion of something, then perhaps posting information about it in a place where people go to discuss things is the wrong move. I don't see any attacks here...just people discussing the merits, or lack thereof, of the topic. The "only post if you agree with me" attitude doesn't add value to the forum.

Elmo is currently debating a 1 week free demo, so people can use it and criticize, instead of blindly crying on the forums.

the 1 week free demo would be a good idea... i would probably try it out for the week if it was free.
