I gave Vic a couple of years of seasoning in the minors, mostly with the thought of developing his defense to be shortstop quality.

I came to the conclusion that he was going to fall a little short (no pun intended), so he's now a second baseman.

Vargas is now starting his 6th ML season, and here's the career rundown:

- 3-time defending AL MVP
- 271 Career HRs
- 704 Career RBI

All this at age 25.

Here's the scary part though. I locked him up through Season 13, but with recent updates, there's virtually no way to keep him in Oakland for the rest of his career.
