i have a team in Naismith D2 that I was thinking of getting rid of. If you end up heading there though I will definitely stick around and join in the fun.

I'm interested in either a one a day or two a day. I have a Div III team in allen and a Div II team in iba that I can use or drop the allen team to get into the new turbo world team if it's not in iba. I have two other teams in Div I and Div III but am not intersted in dropping or converting any of them.

Rupp D2 is pretty competitive already. Wouldn't take much to make it into what you guys are talking about.

are there any 1/day worlds with less open spots than Rupp at 76?

I'm mostly in D3 at the moment and have been for a bunch of seasons since I'm just starting to see a lot of success.

I would prefer a 2 a day world, I'll move up to D2 if its going to be that competitive.

thats a tad early for me. There's been stuff like this started (more on the conference level) and it just doesnt materialize. I would rather see this get a full head of steam first.

That said, i've kinda hijacked this thread. So if you wanna get going, its cool. Pick a world and start filling. I'll still be recruiting and join when it looks like we got enough takers. as soon as we hit the half way point (25 coaches) i'll start hitting up some CC's. there's tons of great coaches out there that dont visit the forums often, if at all.

Iba has about 110 DII openings.

Allen sign up begins Sept. 3rd

Smith sign up begins Sept. 4th

Iba sign up begins Sept. 11th

OK, I have updated the start dates and most of the populations of the 1/day DII worlds.

Wooden rolls now and Rupp goes monday. I think that is a little soon. I think some more time would help this have a better chance to work.

What's everyones opinion on worlds? Smith has 127 openings now, Allen 120.

Rupp has 76 and thus is probably the most competetive world right now.

Rupp is 50 teams ezier to fill, but has the most established world with the fewest available teams to move into.

Do we want the most wide open (Smith/Allen) and risk not being any different than Rupp is now? Or do we top off Rupp and make it the best/fullest DII by far?

So far, we have roughly 15 coaches that are interested in doing this. I agree with Zags, maybe we should build up a larger base of coaches and either wait one full season and then hit up Rupp or if the number doesn't grow like we are hoping for, join Iba/Allen or Smith and fill up as many conferences as possible (may have to scope out and plan what conferences to hit up?). What do you guys think?
