The trading post is now open in Washington.

With my team currently residing in the heart of the deadball era, I have an excess of top quality pitching talent. If you need a 300+ IP ace to cement your rotation (especially this first year) we should talk. I'm looking for big bats at any position.

Here's a copy of the league description to reference when questions crop up:

This basically is pick your own progressive with many other elements of the sim. Each owner will be a team and a year (ex. 2002 Angels). based on winning PCT% this will decide how many players each team will get to draft and must keep.

.325 and under = 10 draft picks
.325-.400 = 9 Draft picks
.401-.450 = 8 Draft picks
.451-.550 = 7 Draft picks
.551-.649 = 6 Draft picks
.650 and over = 5 draft picks

The 2002 Angels receive 6 draft picks so I will submit a list of a minimum of 19 players to keep. You may keep more but not less. The rest of the roster will come via draft in which this team would be eligible to draft up to 6 2002 players. Each roster is exclusive. Once the 19 keepers are selected. I will create a list on the owners forum and those players will not be eligible to be on any other roster wether drafted or selected. So this is first come first serve. If someone selects the 1999 Red Sox and keeps Pedro and then someone selects the 2000 Red sox since Pedro was already been kept he is not an eligible draftee or keeper. After all teams have entered a draft will ensue. Draft will be conducted in winning % lowest to highest non serpentine style. I broke up the draft picks for the first seasons if a player wanted to use a team that had a lot of up and coming stars and so they will not be punished.

In subsequent seasons players will age to the next year as always in a progressive. Each team will each have 7 draft picks meaning a minimum 18 must be keep from the season before. Draft will be conducted in winning % order and will not be serpentine style in order of lowest to highest. meaning 1-24 then 1-24 until all rounds are completed. You can keep as many players as you want but 18 is minimum. If you do not like the 18 you have to keep you have to re-pick a team and result back to the 1st season drafting rules. If for some reason you don't have enough keepers and want to keep your team you can select up to 2 300K or lower players during that season as long as they are not taken. If this still doesn't allow you to have the proper number of teams sorry you will have to take a new team! These players will not be included on your roster the following year.

If an owner drops out a new owner can either take the old owners team or select a new year and franchise but if a new franchise is selected they will be subjected to the original rules for year 1 and not recieve the full 10 picks and will pick in the position the dropped owner would have selected. If any owner wants to continue playing but wants a new team these rules will also apply. The players on these teams will dump back into the available player pool.

Stadiums will also be selected upon entering league and you do not have to select the stadium your team played and are also exclusive.

Cap: None - After all teams are drafted I would like everyone to submit a total to me so i can see what the highest is and place accordingly.
AAA: None
DH: Yes
WW: None
Teams Available: Any except 2008 teams
Trades: Yes and encouraged. Trading of draft picks is allowed but only pre-season in order to keep lists of exclusive rosters good and keep rosters at 25 players. Player for player will be allowed in season and post season and with draft picks or any combination. Trades must not take a player over 25 players and/or a combination of draft picks. This is the essence of baseball.
Alignment: Alignment will be done based on teams selected. If 2 people take 3 different Yankees teams they all will be put in the same division. So they will be based upon real life alignments.
Injured Reserve: If a player played less than the WIS allows and have seasons after original season. They may be kept on IR for that season but must be kept in the next season. I.R players are only chosen after all teams have selected there roster and after the draft. So basically no taking of a player that played less than a WIS season and keeping him on I.R so no one else can have them. Maximum of 2 injured reserved players. This also applies to Rookies. If you would like to keep a player that did not have enough stats for a WIS and has not been selected via draft and keeper you may put them on your IR. If you do this you can select up to 2 300K or less players that played that year. They do not advance as a progressive
Loan: Being a big fan of English football I thought of this concept. Any owner before the season may swap players just for that season. Meaning the 1919 Babe Ruth could swap with 1961 Willie Mays but at the end of the season they revert back to original owner and age accordingly. Loan deals do not to be league approved just by each owner involed. MAximum of 3 loan moves a season per team. The reasoning behind this is many times an owner is over on PA's and needs a few more innings or vice versa but don't want to get rid of a player permanently. *This is only to be done prior to the start of a season*.
Stadium: Picked as team is selected. Exclusive to each owner and only one instance so if parks have identical stats they can only be used once ie (Kaufman and Royals Stadium are considered the same). If they have a different stat then they are different
Tanking: To ensure fairness to the league all teams must win 50 games to qualify for a first round draft pick. If a team does not attain the 50 games then they will lose there 1st round pick and there pick will be picked at the end of the 4th round after everyone has selected.

I will select my team 12th

Just to clarify in a draft the team will only be allowed to select in their year. meaning the 2002 Angels will only be able to select 2002 players this year and next year only 2003 and so on. It is not a good idea to select a 2008 team and they will not have a next year and will not be eligible to continue.

When selecing a team if a player does not have the right amount of keepers they are ineligible for play unless they are a pre-1900 team and i will make a special arrangement you can select up to 4 300K or less players but they must not have been keep already by other owners. These players must be from the year you selected so if you pick 1899 those 4 must be from 1899. The 300K players will age as a progressive. This could be an advantage or disadvantage. If you go this route send me your keeper list of additional players needed after keeper and draft. I would think there will be enough players available to do this. If not I will maybe allow a few at 500K. We will play this by ear. I did this so people would have the most options possible.

Also use only the season they played for your team no full seasons if that player was traded for the first seasons in subsequent season since you own that player you can use any season of that player full or partial.

Please post your teams in the owners forum when you can and also don't forget to pick a stadium!
