Phelan Shootout XIII (Season 19) Topic

Connor, I should be able to work around it. Since there definitely should be a conference game included in your Shootout schedule, I can always place that game in Spot 6, which would render that mistake moot for our purposes. So, if that's fine with you, it's fine with me. I'll put you in for being confirmed.

Confirmed.

9/21/2009 3:39 PM
OK. I will start the template for scheduling and get it posted as soon as possible pending the Conference games played in Shootout XII
9/21/2009 3:42 PM
When we get to pool assignments:

Curry, with a non-conference RPI of 11 in Season 18, will replace Wisconsin Lutheran, which had the better record throughout Shootouts XI and XII.

Rockford, with a non-conference RPI of 36 in Season 18, will replace Wisconsin- Superior, which had the second-best record throughout Shootouts XI and XII
9/21/2009 3:45 PM
Huh. Allready, including rockford, played three people who will be in the pool this coming year.

9/21/2009 5:17 PM
The pools will be based on how the teams in the tournament performed for the last 2 tourneys, as was agreed upon several seasons ago. I decided that I would place the 2 new teams according to who had the better RPI through non-conference play this season, with the better RPI (in this case Curry) assuming the spot of the team that had the better 2-tourney performance (in this case, Wisconsin Lutheran).

Based on performance, Pool A, which will be made up of the Top 6 teams from the last 2 tourneys will include your Curry squad (since WLU would be in this pool), plus Coast Guard and Washington (MO) have already secured spots. The last 3 spots will be determined in the next couple of days.

For the next 2 tourneys, you will play each team in your pool twice, and each team from the other pool once. At that point, the pools will be realigned again.

So how do we go about deciding which are home and road games, et al?
