22 Million Big Fish League - DEAD Topic

Yes a_in_the_b that is kind of the point of this league. Every team will have flaws but how big will they be and which ones hurt the teams more than the others? In the last $20 million league all of the top 4 teams were extremely well balanced. In the end shapandrew7 just barely beat scudmissle's team for the title.

So I figured why not throw in a new twist or two into a low salary league so that the majority of the owners aren't just tweaking out the rosters that shap, scud, garyman, nich, and nc etc. have all created and succeeded with in the past?

Okay what's needed to make this work guys? $23 million cap? Lower the "Big Fish" salary down to $6.5 or even $6.2 million?? Eliminate the draft???

Just tell us what works and what would be the most fun and challenging for everyone.

draft is gone. let us know what you need to join.

i like things the way they are... 7 mil is good for the fish, no draft, and no rooks. i have made two teams... one with oscar and one with rick barry... there's also a dominique team that looks good... u can easily get to 19600 mins with 22 mil (including the big fish). govan and bunce are steals for 2 mil each. 1200 total boards, 200 blks, good oreb, and 3900 mins between them. but those are guys i used before, there are other jewels in the data base. hope this fills.

And if worst comes to worst, there are some serious cheap minute sinks out there: Look up Irv Bemoras or Michael Curry for example; don't give you much of anything, but can eat up minutes.

Look through the old ABA seasons and you will find quite a few players between $700K and $1 million per every 10 minutes of game play which is a basic gauge of the type of player that works well in a league like this one. Thanks for the tips scudmissle and a_in_the_b.

Seriously though, there are players that are under 400,000 in price and over 1,000 in minutes. Just a few of those and you can pad out the filler minutes.

found the minutes but the fouls, to's and pct% don't add up. can you have 2 7M players?

YOu are going to have numbers that look allot worse than those you are used to. You have to change your expectations.

i'm open to it, but mins will be at a premium for you...

FOr the heck of it, I did manage to fill enough minutes for a team with NOwitski and Malone. With some creativity and paying extra attention to secondary positions.

can anyone give me some insight to a team with the 50ppg wilt?

i made a squad with enough mins...but the usages are all super low and danny ferry and jason kapono are my 2 best besides wilt

will wilt just end up going for 70 and 40 a night and making me competitive or does this team have no shot of competing?
