No, I'm saying you're right. Only 1.4% of all owners would take on another team if their world was folded. Just say "I knew you'd see it my way eventually" and move on.

I don't have a beef with the new forums. I don't know anything about them(Mostly. I checked in once for about 3 minutes just to get a peek). I have a beef with WifS' current willy-nilly TOS enforcement policies. I was told that the new forums would resolve my issues. I'm waiting to see while buying one team at time with credits and not committing beyond the current season.

Its easy to say thats what you get for joining a tard world, but for a lot of the newbies that is all they are able to join since more established worlds don't want them. But then of course they have a bad experience and leave, and maybe that's a factor in why so many worlds are having a hard time filling.

Wow. It always gets so very personal in here, doesn't it?

I still have not heard a valid reason why CougDawg has 2 (or more) accounts. If there is a solid reason for that and for switching the team from one account to the other, he may have a legitimate gripe. Otherwise, ZERO sympathy.

Well he got it back. Great Success?
10/23/2009 4:51 PM
chad, it's pretty clear he wasn't using these accounts to cheat by having 2 teams in the same league. really, cougdawg and cougdawg3? he's not trying to hide that he's the same person on both accounts, so i don't see the problem.

The 2 accounts is always a little suspect.
I don't foresee it getting easier to fill worlds until next April again.

This is NOT about multiple accounts.

Look, it may have been COUGDAWG who got screwed instead of someone else b/c of his multiple accounts, but the question is why was ANYONE screwed? Mergers may happen, and people may get booted. But why was ANYONE booted from Williams before LOCO decided whether or not to accept the merger? (I assume the answer to that question is that WIS wasn't planning on giving LOCO the choice of opting out of the merge at first, but then the LOCO owners forced their hand with vocal complaints). And once the merger didn't happen, why weren't ALL Williams owners who had been booted given first crack at getting their old team back?

Multiple accounts has NOTHING to do with that. Ignore the fact that he switched accounts. Pretend he's just a regular, 1st season owner. Once the merge doesn't happen, how is it fair not to give him his team back? There are probably other, less vocal owners who would like their team back as well. It's not about cougdawg, it's about the principle, because we all could one day be subject to one of these situations, and should be treated fairly.

And yes, in the future, cougdawg should learn his lesson and refrain from using multiple accounts. It's not a good practice. It's also grossly unfair to WIS if you're an existing player, and you sign up for a new WIS account and take the discounted 1st season. People should NOT do this. However, it's not what this issue is about.

Only some people know the details. Maybe LOCO agreed to the merger then found out they were losing their historical records and felt that was unacceptable. You would have to find out from the commish to know the real details.

That's true. I was guessing as to the reasons (and I tried to make that clear). But it doesn't change the fact that once the merger failed, WIS should probably have taken it upon themselves to contact the 4-5 owners who were involuntarily booted and offer them their teams back, as opposed to throwing them into the pool of available teams. And once they did make the teams generally available, and he complained, it shouldn't have taken several messages over several days for someone to tell him that they would give him his team back.

Exactly Gjello. Unbelievable that some folks are so myopic they couldn't read through the post correctly. This has NOTHING to do with multiple IDS. Multiple IDs used for the wrong purposes would need to have a little more variation then a single digit (of course I'm assuming it takes a little more to fool the guys who jumped on C-Dawg. Maybe I'm wrong). The guy got the shaft and did nothing to cause that. I see no whining in his post, in fact I thought he was very civil in the site mails until the last one.... that one was a hoot. I'm sure WIS will make it right.

I did enjoy reading all of this on a lazy Friday afternoon.

Too long for post #2. Get some street cred before writing novels.

Maybe that WAS brief for him. I'm a bit long winded myself.
