I'm glad someone is taking RIT over again. I attended the school briefly in the late 80s, and I've coached them in 2 HD worlds now, and I'd love to see them get the attention they deserve :)

Wooden DIII is a blast. I'm in one of the full conferences (the Midwest), so no openings by us, but there are lots of partly and mostly filled conferences, so join up and compete in the best HD experience available!

The Empire 8 now has 6 humans with the addition of Rochester Tech, and 3 of us have been there over 20 seasons. If you are joining Wooden D3 for the long haul this is a friendly, solid group.

The WIAC has some decent openings. We've had three strong human programs in the West (Lakeland, Edgewood, Superior), and some good teams in the East, but a couple more human coaches would make for a great conference.

There are lots of DIII complainers posting on the forums, and it is clear to me that they have never (or not lately) had the sort of experience that we all enjoy so much in Wooden. Wooden DIII is so much fun that I've never had the slightest desire to move up to DII in Wooden.

Alright guys, you know it's not all hugs and kisses, there are some damn good rivalries going on. Tongue in cheek trash talking and all the good things that make it fun.

Join us in Wooden and let the beatdowns begin!

You're right, the Upstate is the main target. Everybody wants to compete with the best. They got their @$$es handed to them in the 1st rd of the NT but how many did they send...6 or 7? From 1 to 12 they are the best conference in DIII HD and will probably always be. But one-on-one they will find the going tougher as more good coaches filter in and a few more conferences fill up(hopefully). Ultimately this will make it more competitive for everybody but maybe a little more frustrating for the Upstate. Mark my words though, they will have their years where they will take us all to task...this year wasn't one of them.

Come join the free-for-all!

it really is fun.

and you can take over my old team at Hartwick in the Empire 8 and try to revive them, in a good conference to boot...

When I started with WIS I wanted to make it to DI in every world and get all of my favorite teams and where I went to school. Well, i am really sick with DI at the moment and have migrated back down to DII and DIII in some worlds and am starting to enjoy this game a little more again. I planned on leaving this world after this season at UNLV but may check out the DIII scene.
