But seeing that you want to serve as his lawyer, maybe we can hold the funds in your escrow account?

Heh, sorry. "Escrowing" in poker betting terms just means picking a trusted third party to hold the money. I know I'm going to pay if I lose (as, presumably, you know you'll pay if you lose) but we don't know each other. Pretty standard.

Which is to say I'm not trying to sell you a house.
