Oops ... Giant's 2001 pre-WS season contender team is another nice choice ... I'll probably will have the wrath of the Giants fall upon me if you twist the right guys (Livan and Jason?) and add a great starting pitcher (Giant's old timer Mathewson comes to mind with a 120M cap) ... I'm a sucker for good pitchers! ...

1988 Mets also seems like a contender ... they seem to have a hole at SS (1991 Orioles Cal Ripken, 2001 Giants Rich Aurelia or 1944 Indians Lou Boudreau sound like candidates for the one add-on) ... there are a few candidates for the two twists (SP Gooden to 85? SP Ojeda to 86? 3B Johnson to 89? Gary Carter to 84?) ...
