There were maybe two teams with worse rpi's that got at-large bids, Cornell and Elon.
The difference between a 39 rpi and a mid-40's rpi is basically non-existent. I think it's completely proper that other factors outside of rpi decide who would make it in that situation. The Ivy and Big Ten were comparable rpi wise.
I tend to agree that Wisco should've probably made it over Elon, but it is not egregious, nor do I think it's symbolic of needing a major revamp.
