Resume / Bubble team / Kentucky in Allen Topic

Bottom line seems to be the selections committee looks at wins wins wins. And that's why teams in a crappy conference make it over teams that play much tougher competition. The selection process needs a major revamp.

My rational was that I would rather have the 10 guarenteed wins. With the SEC down I had little doubt that I would make the NT. Now I am in the NT with a 26-3 record, CCOY, CT Champ, and will get a prestige bump even if I get knocked out in the first round.

It was a risky move, but HD rewards wins more then SOS. Had I not made the NT it would have been stupid, but everything worked out just perfect. I am trying out a lot of different things with my elite teams. Trying to rejuvenate my excitement in HD. I am on a long title drought and willing to try anything to luck into another. Even if it means scheduling 10 sims!

By the way, I scheduled all 10 of those sims. Had nothing to do with laziness.

Also, I gave VD his last loss ever before he gets fired from his dream school. Oh happy day!

I feel bad for that poor four seed that gets to play you guys.

Regardless of your plan pork, it was stupid.

I'm a 12 seed, and the 13 seed at my site is UCLA.

And maybe this was the karma from their RL win over Duke coming back to hit them.

UCLA? I'm ascared of Georgia Tech in so far as 4-seeds go in Allen.

There were maybe two teams with worse rpi's that got at-large bids, Cornell and Elon. The difference between a 39 rpi and a mid-40's rpi is basically non-existent. I think it's completely proper that other factors outside of rpi decide who would make it in that situation. The Ivy and Big Ten were comparable rpi wise.

I tend to agree that Wisco should've probably made it over Elon, but it is not egregious, nor do I think it's symbolic of needing a major revamp.

how about 7 NT bids for the ACC and all are a 5 seed or higher. We're good!

And your plan for this season at LSU was a great one! GJ scheduling. Who are you playing in the NT?

pork, it was stupid. You HAD to win the CT just to get into the NT. I know the SEC isn't that strong but that was very risky. There have been much better teams than you to lose in the CT. Heck, Miss St is probably the best team in the conference. Lucky you didn't have to play them.

C'mon pork, it's his 2nd year taking over after taking a sim-controlled team. You know full well that's not a legit comment on your part.

It was a bad strategy on your part. It basically came down to having no choice but to win your CT ... you could've put together a relatively normal schedule, still won the CT and made the NT. You didn't have to schedule the 10 worst sims in the country for that to be an option.

Is that the best you got? Lame.
