Any other good programs available in Wooden? I took a look and it looks like Heartland, ASC, Empire 8, Minn IAC and Penn all have only 3 or 4 teams . Any suggestions on what conference/team would be good to pick up?

Reserved a team in the Little East, Fitchburg St. seemed to be the only opening in that confernece.

the "good" programs wont become available for a few days. A coach would have to leave. and there are a couple.

you can wait for that. or just find a good conference. anything in the ASC or Minnesota would be great. both good and active conferences.

The big4 (NAC, Midwest, Michigan, and Upstate) are all full. So is the Little East. But there will be two jobs opening up with coaches leaving.

Lots of options. But any school is good. the world as a whole is super fun and super competitive.

YOu know, with the little east 'full' poor ECSU is going to get the beat down of the century and go for worst team status. Really, I might consider looking for a team that has underused talent that the Simmy has been wasting, take that talent, win some games, get your prestige bumped and then start recruiting to make it your own.

See my post on the WIAC - River Falls, Platteville, Oshkosh, and even Concordia have rosters with potential.

Take a look at St. Thomas in the MIAC. Set up to be competitive for the next two years with a lot of upperclassmen. It's a true rebuild, they haven't had a human coach in awhile, but the players aren't bad and should have good IQs. Then you'll have a chance to compete and have a couple of big recruiting classes in years 2 and 3.

If you're looking for an NT team right off the bat, I would wait, though.

When you reserve a team at what point do you take control?
3/4/2010 2:23 PM
after the promotion process. when the world opens up for 'new coach signups'.

Thanks for that post, I reserved a team in wooden a few days ago as well. The site is saying the next sign-ups are on Mon. the 8th, will those that reserved a team have to wait until them? Sorry if this is common knowledge or anything.

No problem, it might be 8th im not sure i know recruiting is on the 9th start of recruiting so it could be the 8th.
3/4/2010 7:03 PM
Of course, I'll be out of town for three or four days.
3/4/2010 7:16 PM
Job changes are before new sign ups. New sign ups is a day before recruiting which would mean its the 8th.
