yes and sorry the smith I noted was Hilton Lee Smith 1932-1948 a Negro Leaguer we don't have a WIS season for.

I have double checked and there are 4 exceptions:
Roger Bresnahan pitched 9 total games in 1897, 1901 and 1910
Tommy Lasorda pitched from 1954-56
Babe Ruth we know about (blacklisted anyway)
Bobby Wallace pitched for 3 years from 1894-1896

none of these guys is in the HOF primarily as a pitcher.

ok heres the simplest solution i can think of...remaining teams can add a HOF position player(5-3 split), and instead of a WC player in category B they MUST choose a pitcher.

We could also have people unblacklist pitchers and replace them with position players

Just thinking out loud here but maybe we are over-doing the HOF selections. Instead of 4 of each maybe we should scale it back to 3 of each and select 2 more non-active, non-HOFer. ???

Gene what was the determination on how to deal with the HOF issue. there are only 2 HOF pitchers for a couple of us. I am cool with bheid's solution but that would require everyone who has picked before to chuck one back.
