colonels...Don't know you, have no reason to dislike you and thaught the initial reason for this post was fairly interesting. The rest of the post kind of turned to junk, though, until schroedess came on with a pretty cool post himself. Don't know why I'm posting this, just my take.

Its one thing if he was trying to say this is all because of the engine or something but he simply posted a box score and was amazed he scored that much in OT.

People are a little quick to jump on him cause of his actions lately. Just remember not everything he says has a underhanded tone to it. I for one think this was just something he saw in his team and wanted to show it off. I posted stuff like this to and its completely disconnected with arguments he is carrying on in other parts of the forums.

You can't blame anyone for disagreeing with him and believing that that is where he was trying to take this with his track record.

Think about it, given my track record, why would I hold back about this topic if I was truly ****** off at what happened and thought it was incorrect/extremely random?

Forget HD, when's the last time you saw 33 points in 1 RL CBB overtime? Its interesting, its quirky, I posted and everyone is just wanting/expecting me to go ape over this and are even trying egg me on about it, and its just not going to happen.

Again, if people are just being colonels haters and not reading my entire posts, then I can't help that.

Yeah, its unfortunate. I'm not telling you what to do by any means, but at this point you either routinely post when I do or you don't, and I guess I would advise you not to because things can get ugly here and it gets to be a big CF that I don't think people that aren't directly involved, should be in. I've appreciated your kind, civil posts lately, I just don't want to see a guy like you get caught up in the dirty dishwater. Thank you and take care.

How long is that process going to take, exactly? Because you've been a pompous, annoying, idiotic dick on these forums going back a few years now.

1-2 hours?? WIS needs to post a self-help phone number for users to call.

mrpolo's initial response made me laugh pretty hard. Thanks for that.

You've got to remember too that time is of the essence when responding to things on this forum.

If you don't respond to something within about seven minutes, you've de facto admitted to being wrong.

And colonels can never, never, ever be wrong.

It's only annoying if you choose to read it. Problem is, colonels feels the need to post in every topic, so there is no real way to avoid it. That's what really puts him over the top.

Every topic, really? Thewizard2, don't be so melodramatic. If I have something to say, I'll post...most times I don't.

It would have as little statistical variance as possible.

Here's what i mean. If two teams play and one of them should win 60% of the time. Then that team wins 6 out of 10 games. The game engine would essentially "picks" the winner.

Then the score is figured out. There will be zero games won by more than 10 points. So WIS would use a RNG to figure out margin of victory.

Here's how it plays out. Duke plays Illinois. Duke should win 68% of the time. The engine picks Duke to win this time. Then we go to the RNG for margin of victory. Parameters are 1-10. and a 4 comes up. We go back to the RNG to select score. Parameters are 40-80. 65 comes up....

and there you have it. Duke beats Illinois 65-61.

the rest of the stats are filled in by using a range. If Duke averages 17 fouls per game, then the most fouls they can commit are 21 and the fewest are 13. And continue from there.

The real genius here is you could make MORE money depending how you market it.. .. . .

WIS: "hey guys, we have a totally new engine version coming out, 9.0!!! its so high tech and advance that we will only use it in one super advanced world. Along with the new game engine, we have a completely revamped RNG developed by a former NASA mathematician. Its call RNG4000, and calculates to 10billion decimal places (because everyone knows how confusing it can get going from 7.0000000000000 to 6.0000000000000). Price of the world will be $29.95 per season, but it will be well worth it as all results will be 100% perfect!!"

I just read this post....was this some extremely nerdy version of a sarcastic, funny reply? Wow! My head hurts.

Ah, now I get the "people will come around and like me, just wait and see" thing... colonels is going the sock puppet route.

This should be interesting.

Have you ever had a checkup? Did any of it hurt? Well the doctor has to give you a shot, sometimes that does hurt doesn't it? Shots are like big pinches, but the hurt goes away after a while. That's something I know for sure.
