We need to get in a world together

My ticket for replacement is now going on 3 days.. Probably trying to contact him.. Would be nice if they told me they are doing this so I know they are doing SOMETHING..

They do nothing on the weekend but I'd contact WIS repeatedly until he's replaced.

Branch Rickey accepted me into their league with only one other world experience.

My ticket on Minsho took four or five days for a response -- because they were trying to contact him, and there was a weekend in there.

Very happy with WIS. They made the right call. Semi-abandoned teams can be ruined, and commishes should be able to do something obo the best interest of the overall league.

And his Cey stint won't show to next private world commish he dupes.

These are the users WifS loves and the rest of the paying customers despises.

It's too bad "worlds joined" isn't a stat on an owner's record.

Even for owners who have to bail midseason for legitimate reasons and do so responsibly, that's another piece of information to make the user experience more satisfying.

Perhaps someone should put together a permanent thread, along the lines of the "things we've learned" thread, that has a master list of all the owners who should never be allowed in a private world again.

I'm sure ADMIN would frown upon a blacklist thread.

This would need to be done outside of the WIS website. Perhaps ad blogspot.com, or someplace similar.

A thread that says, "owner X was removed from world Y, with WIS' approval, because of Z"?

The information is probably already in existing threads, just scattered about in ways that a commish could not easily find -- especially when the owner is not formally named.

Paint it anyway you want. It's still a blacklist thread, and I'm sure that ADMIN would frown upon it. Probably delete it pretty quickly.

tec is probably right. If WIS doesn't police their site they certainly don't want users policing it. The people you would try to blacklist throw money at WIS, too, you know.

I like this idea. If it's off-site, it should be fine, no?

as a commish i'd like such a thread but it would create quite an uproar. upon perusing the forums i always jot down names of owners i wouldn't want in my world and make my own list (there are a lot of names on it by now) and consult it when i am recruiting.

No. Babies tattle-tailing on babies. WIS should disable the account of anyone who tries it, including the chicken who sitemailed me to post for him. If what you're doing is righteous, do it here. If what you're doing is not righteous, don't do it, and if you do WIS should perma-ban you. If you don't like WIS's rules, send them a ticket or take yourself elsewhere. Self-important slobs who think they can make any damn rule they want get no sympathy from me.
