Unfortunately ncih has experienced a personal loss that may keep him from the SIM for a while. He has asked that I draft for him. Given the make-up of his team (shown below), there is no clear selection.
| 08-09 Steve Nash (PG) | 30.3 | 30 |
| 08-09 Brevin Knight (PG) | 11.4 | 11 |
| 08-09 James Posey (SG) | 26.1 | 26 |
| 08-09 Dahntay Jones (SG) | 17.4 | 17 |
| 08-09 Andres Nocioni (SF) | 24.3 | 24 |
| 08-09 Vladimir Radmanovic (SF) | 17.6 | 18 |
| 08-09 James Jones (SF) | 7.7 | 8 |
| 08-09 Thaddeus Young (PF) | 31.4 | 31 |
| 08-09 Tim Thomas (PF) | 15.2 | 15 |
| 08-09 Shaquille O Neal (C) | 27.5 | 27 |
| 08-09 DeSagana Diop (C) | 12.6 | 13 |
The team is short on minutes at PG and C (without using a player at 90% or less). Given the two positions are of about equal need this season, but C is much more in need of minutes for 09 - 10, I'm leaning towards a center. (A 100% or very, very close to it C.) Since I don't want to "lose" minutes with a player who is 100% eligible at only C, I was thinking it might be good to draft C. Andersen, then get the needed PG minutes by dropping James Jones, who is all but worthless both remaining years of this League. Jones' minutes will be filled by sliding Young or Thomas into the SF slot with Andersen at PF for a while. There will be a couple available players with higher salaries this season or next, but few with both higher than Andersen, and none who would fill this team's needs without a trade (which I don't want to get in to).
I know nobody wants to give away any of their Draft stategy, but any feedback that anyone is willing to provide on this would be appreciated. I will take it all into consideration and post a final selection for ncih around 5:30 tomorrow. I appologize for the delay, but really want to do right by ncih here, and I am letting you know when the next pick will be made, so you don't have to keep checking. Besides, we are already 2+ days ahead of schedule, so this will create less catch-up work for steev when he returns. Thanks everyone.
