No way we see a game close to that good in NHL, at any time. And I don't see how anyone could say the USA was any stronger than Canada. Equal, I'd buy. Better? I didn't see that. In the first game USA won because the goalie played out of his mind. You can't count on that, and I think on the ice Canada had a very slight advantage. If they play a series on neutral ice, I'd say it's anyone's to win. If they play a series in Vancouver with every Canadian from age 1-101 watching, Canada has the edge. And the motivation factor for the Canadian team is something that could never be matched for the USA, at least in the post Herb Brooks, post-Evil Empire era. There's only one sport that matters in Canada, and this was the biggest game there since the Soviet series.

I watched all the games for both teams and I saw Canada squeak by the Swiss, lose to the Americans and then squeak by the Americans. I saw the Americans lose in a squeaker to the Canadiens, but pretty much handle everything else that came their way. Besides the last few minutes of the first game, the US took care of Canada handily. More heart more grit more effort. Thats what I saw from the ole Red White and Blue! The Canadien team had SO MUCH MORE talent on it, that it's insane they didn't blow out everyonen they played, which is why I made the Dream Team comparison.

They had the better players, but I'm not convinced they were the better team, not at all.

Just a week ago they were ready to fire anyone and everyone who had any part of putting this team together.

just the fact the the US won the 1st game (some one said insane game by the keeper!) Miller block something like 52 shots! To have to play them agin and take them to overtime! NIce job by an underrated US team! Congrats to the canucks! Honestly i was hoping that hockey mad country would win the gold...that'd be like a real team of MLB players from the US losing to anyone ...(oh wait real MLB'ers arent allowed in the olympics cuz they are little b***ches that make too much money) losing to ANYONE! again..congrats to Canada and all thier fans! (we still broke the record for most medals in an olympic winter games with 32) bet the russian athletes dont wanna go home!...lol!

...and we broke the Winter Olympic record with 14 gold medals. All in all, winter sports rule in North America...a success on both sides of the border.
