On the plus side, couldn't have happened to a more deserving coach. Unfortunately the winning coach is another scumbag.
And why exactly is Huggs a scumbag? Because he got a DUI? 1.5 million people get a DUI in this country every year. He doesn't cheat in recruiting. He doesn't have affairs. So, what is your argument?

UK fans can't feel too bad. They paid multi-millions for Memphis' coach and their recruits and got an Elite 8 out of it. Plus, there's probably less publicity when you vacate an Elite 8.

they are super loud. its probably more than 1% too. even premium message boards for wildcat fans are unbearable to me, these are supposedly my fellow fans and honestly the vocal ones are mostly a bunch of retards.

i think most cat fans are really nice people. at least, in comparison to the people i grew up around (new jersey). but if you think about the idiots around the country, the ones who want to be cocky jerks (and there really are a hell of a lot of them), i think they just gravitate to the top programs of any sport, because you can be a bigger cocky jerk there than anywhere. kentucky is no exception. i think the normal fans tend to stay away from the message boards because they are put off by the complete idiots, which show up in staggering numbers (and it really doesn't take too many to drive a positive atmosphere into the ground). i have a suspicion many of those posters are significantly under 18 as well... probably not living in the state of kentucky.

anyway, i can assure you (referring to your earlier post) the vast majority of fans still are thrilled to have calipari, and love wall, patterson (my favorite), cousins, and the rest of them. some of the short term excitement is burst, as you would expect, but i think most cat fans were well aware before the tournament that this young team was inconsistent all season and it was very possible, if not probable, their inconsistency would be their downfall in the tournament.

Billyg, we don't even know that all the posters are UK fans. I've been known to post negative comments on other schools' sites.

Plus in all likelihood another top big man (CJ Leslie/Terrence Jones) and a good guard (Doron Lamb, Chris Joseph, or Chril Hill).

A lineup consisting of Kanter, Orton, Miller, Bledsoe, and Knight with Liggins, Jones/Leslie, 5 star FR guard, and top FR SF Stacey Poole off the bench will still be a a top 10 team all year round with a shot at the Final 4. Maybe not as much talent as this year, but still a damn good team!

Is Kanter going to be eligible? I know there are questions because he played for a pro team. Several teams backed off him because of it, but I'm sure Cal will get it worked out, much like Rose's SAT.

This made me chuckle.

Brandon Knight is too good of a person to go play for Coach Cal. Don't do it BK!

A few Duke fans have been grumbling for years that Coach K is 'out of touch' ....'past his prime',....'can no longer win the big ones.' As was pointed out on one of their fans boards, Duke's been upset by a higher seeded team in 15 of the last 16 seasons.

And look at Florida, who won back-to-back titles. From GatorSports.com "Some of our supporters appear to equate being a passionate basketball fan with either non-stop ridicule or throwing a hissy fit when things don't go as hoped for. This 'mob' mentality on here is way out of control."

NEW YORK -- The NCAA is looking into the academic history and recruitment of former Kentucky star Eric Bledsoe, The New York Times reported Friday night.

The investigation is centered on Bledsoe's high school transcripts, payments made for an apartment shared by him and his mother, and whether his high school coach in Birmingham, Ala., demanded money from schools recruiting him, according to the story on the newspaper's website.
