Tanker removed, reinstated 2 days later Topic

I also agree with that. They shouldn't have removed him and reinstated him. Stand by your decisions.

But that's only half the problem. Bench should be used as the poster world for allowing tankers to return. THIS CAN HAPPEN TO YOU!!!

Has anyone seen Admin reinstate an owner that was removed by the commish during rollover? I'd hope not, or else it would seem there is no way to control your world.

Say you caught your wife cheating on you for the 4th time. You've had enough and you pop her one. Do you think the judge is going to be sympathetic when you say "Your honor, this is the 4th time this year I caught her cheating on me. I had to do something!"?

Isn't this like you caught your wife cheating four times, you decide to kick here out of the house, and then WIS says you have to take her back? You should have kicked her out the first, second or third time, but you didn't. Now she has squatter's rights.

No. I think it's more like you caught your fiancee cheating, took her back, caught her cheating again, took her back and married her anyway, and then caught her cheating again. Now you don't want to have to pay alimony (refund the guy his $25) because a known cheater cheated.

I have a little more sympathy for the group than that statement makes it sound, but basically you knew what he was about, you shouldn't have let him pay his $25 and then tried to have him removed from the season he paid for. Let him get what he paid for, then boot him before next season so that he never sees his good prospects hit the majors. If it were a public World, maybe it's different since you can't boot him next season. But it's private and you can boot him next season, so it really isn't the end of the world (or the end of the World).

Just have a vote like the HOF. Majority of owners want him in he stays if not then let the door hit him on the way out. End of story.

Why vote? If every private world booted tankers or refused to let them join, they'd only have public worlds to play in. That's a tough break for good public worlds but you should know what public means when you join.

Site Staff has a history of doing this. They say whatever they need to say to calm things down, then change their mind when it comes time to take action. They don't stop tanking, they don't stop cheating. Multiple pairs of linked accounts were found in one of my leagues. They said they would take over as commish, out the pairs, and help clean up the league. A couple days later, they changed their mind. The next season, we are still dealing with the same crap. All they want is their money.

That is BS. I am in a good public world and they will not allow us to go private. We have tried many times and by many different owners.

Great point. I've found that there are so many commishes out there who are so afraid to do anything, allowing the world rule itself as much as possible. If if a commish is just going to let majority initiate rule by vote, then that world probably isn't so much different than a public world.

That is a good point about commissioners. As the old saying goes,"Lead, follow or get the hell out of the way."

Yea I hate democracy....think I'll move to Cuba.

I'm in the world and it sounds pretty simple...we can't get rid of him now so we'll just not let him back. Too bad for this season though as he'll gaurantee someone another 90+ rated prospect. But at least the short time replacement owner got the arb clock going on a couple of the ones he had in storage.

We're not talking about the real world. Nonetheless, sometimes somebody just has to make a decision.

Im in bench world also. I have never been a commish, I did not realize that the commish in a private world has to approve owners each season to return. I believe that will take care of the tanking owner. I just dont like admin making a decision and 3 days later reversing it.
