those in the beta - was there a sense that any offense or defense would be better or worse off?

press edge cut back?

magic for any other scheme?

I like the game as is. I'm not sure that will still be the case when the new engine rolls out.

And if it happens that way, I bet I'm not alone.

I'll give it a shot, but I won't be surprised if I scale back/walk away completely within a few seasons.

a in the b - please worry about your own concerns, let jets worry about his, if your only worry is about what jets is worried about, tell us how much you like everything in this game

Not a lot different to add here, I had the same issues with "checking out" of the testing for stretches......here's what I did see

(1) I really played around/experimented with some things during the 1st season.....so much that my D2 Concord team coming off back-to-back NT's completely missed the postseason

(2) Gameplanned more online with what I would usually do starting in Season 2, and we came back strong

(3) Have started well during Season 3.....My biggest things with the latest season are these: I found it much easier to get my hands on D1 pulldowns during recruiting this past season. My prestige was an A, and I got a couple of recruits in the 100-120 ranked range....I realize that in the "real" HD world, human D1 coaches won't let these players get down to D2 schools, but the fact that they'd even consider a D2 school while being ranked that highly has changed

Also, I agree with the comments before about the A/T ratio being tweaked. My starting PG is average about 8.5 Assists per game....I've never seen an average that high before in HD

I also thought the beta was poorly run with long periods of inactivity followed by 5 -6 games simming in a short time. I was given a pretty untalented DI team that probably did as well as I expected. The team played man and had a much higher rebounding margin than I expected given the teams ath/spd and reb ratings. I didn't change gameplanning much but noticed that distro was closer to settings especially for players that were given lots of shots.

I ghost-shipped to the S16 b/c I didn't check my team at all after first couple games. So, gameplanning update must not matter all that much.

All in all, this actually doesn't sound good.......

Personally I am of the opinion that allot fo the complainers are grossly exxagerating, but to each their own.

Hope you're right.

I just hope people remember that even if we had beta texsted it for three years, there would still be some bugs on release.

I was one who actually like the old engine. After years of playing I finally found I had some understanding of how things worked and saw the massivie improvement in my results. Frankly, I found the testing to be a complete joke and lost interest midway through the first season. There was no communication and as others said, weeks would go by with nothing happening and suddenly 10 games would Sim over the course of a day.

I think no matter what arena youre in there will always be complainers...unfortunately their voices are always the ones heard as those content never speak up...even the biggest voices for changes to the game complained about no being listened to enough as though their opinions are more important than others...

Simply put, I really hope the changes arent drastic and dont screw up and otherwise good product which is enjoyable and good at passing time. If it does I for one will be one of the few that is run off because of the new engine.

are you and a in the b the same coach?

Either way, what are your technical opinions on the new engine? Same offense results? same defense? same players? same gameplan? same recrutiing? If different how? You like it all better? All the same?
