How about just replaying the exhibition we already have played once the system is fixed.
This is a GREAT idea I think. Even if its the exact same teams and settings.

Colonels, being overwhelmingly negative doesn't help anything right now. If you actually care about making things better, let's focus on what can be done to improve, any bugs/inconsistencies you've noticed, any positive ideas you've had.

Taking potshots not only doesn't help, but it fosters a nasty, negative environment that no one wants to be a part of -- particular the new coaches that HD really needs right now.

(And before you incorrectly say I blindly support WIS, if you cared about making things better and had participated in the test world, you'd know that I had as many arguments/suggestions/disagreements with seble as anyone there.)

Why the hell did this happen is an incredibly relevant question, especially when we're talking about pushing 2 worlds back an entire week. You sir, need to put things into perspective...other people are on board with my wonderments as well. Newsflash, this is a big deal. On top of that, my first question was never answered still...WILL THIS AFFECT THE PROGRESSION OF OTHER WORLDS? Tell me my questions aren't pertinent.

I'm asking why they didn't catch/fix flaws in the game that caused it to push worlds back a week in BETA...what was BETA for then? If the engine is so complex that you can't find the flaws in 2-4 months of BETA testing, I think you have a right to question what the hell's going on here. If I'm wrong, then seble should delete my posts here.

(And before you incorrectly say I blindly support WIS, if you cared about making things better and had participated in the test world and this has nothing to do with the argument at hand...the bottom line was I've always said, however the game turns out I will play it (or not)...just give the majority of HD users/enthusiasts what they want., you'd know that I had as many arguments/suggestions/disagreements with seble as anyone there.)

Absolutely agree with this.

And before we start proclaiming the sky is falling, they have been debugging the code for a long time. A 4 day push in a couple worlds is no big deal to get the last couple of things right.

I just looked and there are no other worlds who are going to play games until Monday, so lets just see where they get to. Assuming they get everything working the way they want I see no reason to push any other worlds. They could stagger Allen and Smith a little bit if they wanted. But that also is not a huge deal.

Drama queen much? It's 4-5 days. Methinks u need another hobby, my friend.

You're not concerned with why it happened, you're just concerned with publicly flogging seble. If you were actually concerned, you would've spent some time in the Beta to help, and would occasionally try to do something constructive, instead of just whining constantly.

This beta was far from perfect, and seble has acknowledged that. It was significantly better than the previous betas/rollouts (faint praise, to be sure), but if you expected there not to be any glitches, your head is in the sand.

I do agree that your question of how this effects progression of other worlds is significant and something seble should (and I'm guessing will) answer.

colonels, no one is suggesting that you or anyone else doesn't have a right to question. It's just the manner that you "question" is nasty and personal, and that's uncalled for and totally unproductive.

And since you're too self-involved to actually participate in the beta and try to bring about some positive change, you're analagous to the guy who doesn't vote in the election and then ******* incessantly about the guy in office.

Its a huge deal in the context and "life" of the game...I mean really, you can't be this short sighted. The big deal statement was made in the CONTEXT OF THE GAME, not hard to follow.

You're not concerned with why it happened, you're just concerned with publicly flogging seble. Wrong. Tell me why this should be happening after 2-4 months of testing. Sure nothing's perfect, but its so imperfect that you have to push the release back to debug the engine when that was the purpose of BETA...that's laughable and unreal. If you were actually concerned, you would've spent some time in the Beta to help, and would occasionally try to do something constructive, instead of just whining constantly. Like I said, I will play however the game is trotted out and I just wanted those in the HD know to get what they want, thus I didn't cloud/corrupt that process, and look what happened still. Beta was incredibly boring and that's why I didn't pay attention.

It was significantly better than the previous betas/rollouts (faint praise, to be sure), but if you expected there not to be any glitches, your head is in the sand. Again, leaving out context here... is this a glitch that seble fixed in a couple hours or is this a glitch that seble's pushing the release back a week for? Again, how do you not see this coming. Its poor preparation really, and it needs to be noted.

I do agree that your question of how this effects progression of other worlds is significant and something seble should (and I'm guessing will) answer.

What you have the "right" to do is pay for and play the game.

If you don't like the game, you can ask for your money back.

Paying someone for a service does not give anyone the right to demand answers from them or berate them or demand that they let you post crap on their websites.

You can certainly tell them when you see problems, as ask for a refund of this season if you don't like it.

But demanding answers ... PLEASE ... grow up
Demanding answers? Please...ask seble if I've sent a ticket to bother him about this. What I'm actually doing is raising fair and legitimate questions that A LOT of people want answered.

Ignoring all of Colonels unnecessary posts, the 2 reasonable requests are:

1) Replaying the 2 exhibition games with the same settings

2) Spacing Smith and Allen by a couple of days

Nothing in this thread was personal towards seble...the other thread yes, where I prefaced it by saying no disrespect to Scott...you can make the argument that that was personal, but not here. I'm sorry I don't give the benefit of the doubt on everything, that's not my style.

And since you're too self-involved to actually participate in the beta and try to bring about some positive change I do have a lot going on with my website, that took away from me participating in BETA as well, why wouldn't I work on my future moneymaker? Again, I'm not griping about the changes here, I'm asking how/why you could miss "things" in 2-4 months of BETA when you trot out the REAL release...and the fact that its being pushed back a week., you're analagous to the guy who doesn't vote in the election and then ******* incessantly about the guy in office. I'm actually the exact opposite...I voted for McCain and I don't ***** about Obama...politics don't concern me much because in the end, you succeed and fail on your own merits, not because of what the government does/doesn't do.

If I'm wrong and being unfair here, then seble should just come in and wipe out all of my posts, I challenge him to do that if that's the case. Frustration from anyone/everyone is justified here.

1) I suppose I could do this, but I'm not going to promise just yet. I'll see how the next few days go.

2) I've pushed Smith back one more day, which is what the separation was before the delay.
