Its not the "live vs sim" that makes people not like this idea, its the roto part that plays no part in the sim we all love.

You should play it as is and demand that the LIVE players home play off games be played live. I'm sure you can get 12 non-live players to commit to a handful of Live play off games if they get to the play offs. Its a fricken free team, that should be payment enough for their time.

I'm not a huge fan of your roto scoring idea, but its your league and your supplying free teams to get it filled so you should be able to do it whichever way you like..

That being said, I know I cant fulfill the LIVE requirements and would be interested in joining the non-live division.

Also, I would join even if I hade to use a team from my draft center. I ahve plenty of free teams and no leagues to join..

Yeah this was my suggestion. Playoff games that were at the home of a LIVE team be played LIVE.

* Kind of late to the conversation here--
If the Non-Live guys are worried about not having more control over their stats--
The Playoffs could take the top 4 from Non-Live & top 4 from Live. That should satisfy playoff seeding concerns I'd think.

I'm sure there'll be no problems getting 12 good players on each side

That is exactly the type of live-centric logic that many of the regular sim owners objected to.

Someone who knows how to play live has a huge advantage in the game over someone who doesn't. I played half a dozen life games, and didn't enjoy it at all because I assume the game is smart enough to hold runners, etc., and it happens too fast to follow if you have to read and think about what you are doing. So, essentially, you're giving the live players an advantage for each of their home games. Doesn't work for me.

And, most of the non-live communite hate playing live. If it works for you, that's fine. But I prefer strategy games to reaction games, which is why I prefer chess or cards to xbox and the regular sim to live.

As to the league... I signed up because of the marketing. When I examined what was delivered, I pointed out (very politely) to the founder where i thought it was flawed. I was mistaken on some of it (I didn't see the pitching roto pieces). But I considered it carefully, and decided that it would not be a league that I enjoyed playing. I don't need a free team, I pretty much play for free already, and I only play in leagues that I expect to enjoy.

I simply passed. Not at all to my taste, which doesn't mean that it won't be perfect for many owners.

But you can flip that around and say that the non live teams would have the advantage in their home games plus every interleague game played.

Biglenr - I have not weighed in yet, and am not going to say much.

All I want to point out -

I have mad RESPECT for yourself and others who argue logically and validate their points with reason. You have done this. It ****** me off when others attack and point fingers without merit which others have done here.

Thank you for your reasoning and I can understand your rational even if I don't agree with all of it. Thank you and others of your ilk and f those who attack just to do so.
