Monopoly Progressive (Full) Topic

Great concept here.  I have a couple of questions.

#  1   I'm assuming we'll be starting with the individual player's actual 2000 seasons and be progressing through that player's career through 2011.  For example, if I landed the Braves SP unit in the draft,  I would have the rights to Maddux, Glavine, and  MiIlwood throughput the progressive.   In season I, I would use their 2000 seasons, season II their 2001 seasons, and so on until they retire or elect not to keep them.  Correct ?

# 2    With the Catcher / DH / Stadium Unit do you acquire the home stadium of the catchers you selected ?  For example,  if I landed the 2000 Boston Red Sox C/DH/stadium unit - I would acquire Fenway Park as my home stadium, correct ?  Would I be able to select another un-drafted stadium in the player draft or would I be stuck with Fenway ?

# 3 -  The rules state that we have 6/2 AAA and will be able to place unused players in AAA.  Would I be able to place Millwood's actual 2000 season in AAA  if I had enough players to fill the team ?  Or is this just a way to keep Millwood's rights ?   I'm assuming you would have to release individual players to stay under the 33 player limit, if your landed units provided too many player's.

For the few LIVERS I see that have joined, this league looks like a very effective combination of Summerfield's blend and toddleduc's Ultimate Progressive Leagues.

The use of the bankroll though and everything else is very original !

thanks for your interest dlrawson. Lemme answer your questions in order:

1. Correct.

2. Correct as well. Except that once you acquire a Catcher/DH/Stadium Unit, you will not be allowed to change stadiums for the duration of the progressive.

3. Once you have acquired your 5 Player Units and drafted your 2 extra players, you will be free to choose who you want to place on your 25 man roster and in AAA.  Any additional players will be placed on IR for the season.

So John Smoltz is a FA in 2001, and isn't part of a Braves pitching lot since he sat out all of 2000?

Hadn't thought about that. But yea, he'll be available to the highest bidder following the 2001 Rookie Auction.

Looking for high-rollers with a little gamble in 'em.  A big prize awaits the one cunning owner who can wheel and deal his way through the treacherous 12 seasons and emerge victorious.

Who's got what it takes?
