Storing the waiver claim information in the player note after you get the email is a fine idea.  Provided that they give us the long-asked-for different color icons for player notes.
"Why do you need different color notes? You can just click on the player card and read the information. Sure it takes longer, but differing note colors is just redundant and WIS would be better off spending their time working on something productive." (just giving MikeL23's response for him so he doesnt have to waste his time with redundant typing - I have been wanting different colored note icons for ages)
Uh, I believe Mike has also been asking for different color note icons as well.
I was probably the first person to ask for it.

So I can see, at a glance(meaning without opening), why a player has a note.

So Mike L23's statemenmt that "I honestly wouldn't care less if they did it. But, if they spend time making "unnecessary" changes to give us redundant information, they aren't spending time doing something else. Now maybe the "something else" is looking at porn on the internet. Or maybe it's making worthwhile changes." doesnt applied to having pink and purple notes but does apply to times you delete an email and have no way of getting that information abck?
Should have read this first.

A different colored note will have a different meaning.   Red-1st round, Yellow-2nd round, Gray-DITR, etc, etc.

In other words, you don't have to open the player card and then open the notes to know what they mean.  Unlike opening a player card and then opening transactions to see who claimed a player when you can just open(and not delete) an email.

Maybe you understand the difference.   One saves time(the colored notes) while the other force extra mouse clicks(opening up two screens instead of one).

See?

I just see that you sound too lazy to hit one extra click to see what the note says.
And I also that you are clearly a double-talker. There was absolutely no reason for you to have come into this thread and "slung poo" at it as neither of the two ideas are needed for game play, they are just a pair of extra conveniences.
And by the way, opening email is 2 clicks - one for the opening the inbox and one for the email. On top of that, I like to keep my Inbox empty because you only see 3 emails on the World Page and I dont want to have to go into it every time I log on to see if i got a new email (thsu necessitating a "pooload" of extra clicks)

I'm pretty sure the email says Waiver Wire.   If one of those three doesn't say Waiver Wire, you'll know you got a new email.

One idea is a time-saver, one idea wastes time by forcing extra clicks.   If you don't delete the email, you can see every claimed player by opening one box.   Or, conversely, you can open every player, check their transactions and find out who was claimed.  Or you can open your Edit Roster screen, open status, click every player who didn't clear waivers adn find out who claimed them.

In truth, if you hadn't decided to bring me in by saying I'd say it's a pointless idea, I'd have left well enough alone.   Pretty much everyone can see it's a pointless idea.    You just needed me to point it out for you.

agreed. MikeL23 will disagree though.
Here you go, committewood.

Do you see how you brought me into a discussion I'd have simply ignored?

"Pretty much everyone can see it's a pointless idea."

Really?

You know he never siggested geting rid of the emails. If you want to still do it your "shorter" way by saving emails you can - its just another option for those of us that dont like to save emails.

Apparently L23 now speaks for everyone.

Yeah, it's pointless.  And I'll be shocked if WifS even gives it a "This will never happen" reply.

Your suggestion provides redundant info that is harder to get to than what's currently available.    If it were easier, I could see the reasoning behind it.  It's not.

I've often thought it would be handy to save a few, maybe 5 or 10, messages, especially for those folks with memories like mine. Right now if I think I may want to refer to it later, like who claimed a rev. waiver guy, I copy it off to a notepad I set up by world on my desk top.
