The fact is that a citizen that passed the CCW permit standards isnt a threat to society for the most part. If he was bothered he could go home and get a gun and come back.

An armed citizen can save lives. From as far back as the Texas University tower sniper armed citizens have saved lives.

If you look at guns as the problem you should ban guns. I look at criminals as the problem!
Jeeeeeeeeesus!!! A policeman killed the man that killed all of those people from the texas tower.

As far as I know,teachers are not allowed to carry guns into any school in the United States!!

The analysis shows that civilians on the ground pinned down the tower sniper and saved lives.

I think you are right about th teachers.

I think that should be changed tomorrow.

You would see a dramatic drop in the impact these school incidents would have!

Make an ouragous satement, that fits your odd worldview, and when someone calls you try to find some way of making it appear normal.

You did defend him. You wanted the death of the potential mass murderer to be given the same status as his victims.

I dont want anyone to die when these things happen, but in reality it happens. If someone killed the Columbine kids before they killed anyone I think we would all agree a tragey would have been averted.

No, three young kids dying is a tragedy regardless of their intentions. Amazing how little regard you have for human life that doesn't fall in line with your thinking.

Precisely.

The crazy thing is, when I first pointed out how inhuman and callous his post was, I fully expected him to say, "Well, of course I meant that it prevented a larger tragdy" and claim I was just making a semantic argument. Seeing him dig in his heels and insist that the senseless waste of human life isn't a tragedy at all if it happens to someone he doesn't like is just depressing.

This is what will always seperate the left from the right.

We are not happy about something like this, but we realize that sometimes you need to destroy evil to save the innocent.

The left looks at this and sees a breakdown in society. If only we had more compassion and more understanding maybe we could have stopped this before it happened. If only we spent more on Health Care and schools. If only we had more gun control laws. If only we cared more...

Things like this have always happened and will always happen. People out of malice or mental instability will try to destroy the segment of society that bothers them. We must have both the will and the ability to stand up and defend ourselves.
