Also I would like to announce a contest. The person who can tell me the top 10 in order or the bottom 10 in order will win a free HBD season.
Obviously, my three worlds will be in the top 10.

That's the thing.   If "my"(and I'm speaking generally as everyone likely thinks the same way) worlds aren't near the top, the rankings will be dismissed.   Almost everyone believes their world is a good world.   I'm sure tomjames will say "It's just the formula" when people inevitably call him names because their world is 103 but he created the formula.   So you have to ask "Did he tweak it to move his worlds up?" because I would.

A handful of worlds are often mentioned as the "top" worlds in the forums.    If NABCL, MGraham, Moneyball, Coop and APastime aren't near the top, most will assume the program is flawed.   Beyond that, no ratings system can determine if you enjoy your world.   And, really, that's the most important thing.

Don't you think that's based as much on who posts in the forums as anything?

"Beyond that, no ratings system can determine if you enjoy your world.   And, really, that's the most important thing."

And on that, we agree completely.

Somewhat.   However, there have been any number of "World Ranking" threads over the last 2-3 years.   And those 5 are always in the top 10-15 regardless of the formula.   If this new formula produces something different, it would seem quite odd.   It would be akin to saying OPS is no longer relevant because this new stat(which doesn't currently exist) produces an entirely different result.

Well, I don't know about the analogy, but you know a lot more about the rankings than I do.  Just seems like most of the volume posters are in one of those leagues.  Could be evidence that the leagues are really that good, because the people who take time to write on the forums presumably know the most about the game, or it could be those leagues are talked up because the people who write are in those leagues.  I'm sure you're right, that it's the former, but I was just throwing that out there.

I don't know about this better world stuff but how can I get a hold of some of that stuff that transforms you from 44 to under 18??

They're just low turnover, competitive worlds that the owners really like.   And the various formulas used with the other world rankings put them on top also.   Smoke, fire, etc, etc.

It's 47 and it's been like that for quite some time.  Someone babysitting a SLB team changed it to over 64 before HBD was invented.  Then, during a heated discussion in Aaron, one owner(7yankees7) made a comment that went something like "I know your type.  You old Cubans sit around in Miami playing dominoes all day and act like you know more than anyone else.  That's who you are."     I was like "WTF?  Why would you think I'm over 64 and Cuban?  And you sound like a racist!"   Then I checked my profile, saw it and changed it to under 18 so I could ask "OK, what's my type now?  Don't be a dumbass and believe everything you read on the internet."

Nice story but I was kind of hoping to hear something about a fountain of youth discovery, oh well.

Well, if you want to try something, I'd suggest Sytropin.   It's only been three weeks but it seems to be working.

I had to look that up. I don't need anything to grow I need to reverse the aging process. Actually, I take hydrocodone. It works well but does not reverse the aging process. It takes away the pain of it not reversing the aging process.

I started the Sytropin because of bone spurs in my neck.  I haven't had an accident so I assume they've been there since I used my head as a weapon playing football 30 years ago.  I was on 'roids for a bit and the pain went away.  But, if you know anything about 'roids, you can't take them every day for the rest of your life.  So, since HGH essentially does the same thing(repair damaged tissue), I did some digging.   My guess is the nerves have been rubbing the bone spurs for years.  But my body was repairing the damage so I never felt the pain.  However, due to the aging process, the repair slowed and the pain/numbness came.  I started Sytropin on 12/24.  It took about a week for the pain to go away again.   I'm going to start lifting weights again Saturday(that really irritated the nerves) to see if it's working well enough to continue my "normal" routine.

Anyway, if this stuff is letting my body heal like it did when I was younger, I'd call that reversing the aging process.

Let's get back on topic people.

That did get a bit off topic.   However, it also kept this thread near the top.   There's not much interest in it without some rankings to complain about.
