What do they say ???  Trailer park and the mom that has the oldest profession in the world???? Is that productive ??
Wow, it looks like you are just trying to make up BS here. Are you referring to this message from a HOME VISIT when you talk about oldest profession?

""SHHH-BANG! That's what I'm talking about! I was so excited to see you at the house, my momma had to hose down the carpet three times. She said she hadn't seen anybody so excited since the day they delivered grandpappy's Russian mail-order bride. She didn't speak a lick of English, but grandpappy didn't seem to mind. I'm not sure what she saw in him, but she must've seen something 'cuz they would go at it like two gophers at a carrot. Grandpappy died of some heart mischief later and his bride got all his belongings and money to soothe her aching heart. She's living in Beverly Hills now. She seems to be doing fine, but she won't return our calls anymore. Speaking of calls...how come you haven't returned any of my calls. I tried to call every hour to check on my status. I even found your home number, but something must be wrong, because it says its disconnected now. If you're having trouble paying those folks at the phone company, never you mind.

Why, once for about three years we had no phones 'cuz daddy couldn't get off'n his lazy butt to go get a job. He even tried doing one of them Wal-mart jobs of saying 'Hey, welcome to Wal-mart', but he kept messing it up. Momma had enough of that. She went out and got herself a new daddy. I don't see him much, but I think he must work all day, since he only comes by at night to call on momma and they go at it like pappy use to with his Russian gal. Funny though, he always sounds different, but momma doesn't mind only seeing him for a few hours every night. One time someone asked her what she did for a living and she said she was in the oldest profession - so I think she's a secretary or something. Anyways, you stop back, okay? Momma would love to talk to you again. She kept ranting about your pretty eyes, but I told her she must be crazy. I'll talk to ya later - when you get your phone undisconnected - and I can't wait to play for you and Drew.

Love ya, man!"

That's not even related to phone call. If the recruit doesn't give you the backup message or the reject phone call type of message, then it means he's a D3 player or a D2 (D1 if you are a D2 team) that's within 70 miles and you can recruit straight up.

Thank you duke, If you put 100 right off the bat you will know is all i'm sayin
He's referring to pulling down a D2 player with a D3 team. You cannot pull down a player just with a scholarship offer.

Jbrewman, it seems like either 1) you are trying to give bad information on purpose, or 2) do not know how to pulldown players. To pulldown:

1) Call a potential recruit from a higher division. Cost = $10

2) If he gives you one of the backup messages I listed earlier it means he can be pulled down. If he gives you the other message, such as stop calling me, then he cannot be pulled down. You lose $10, time to move on.

3) If he can be pulled down, you recruit him with Scouting Trips. He will reject HV and CVs because he is not in your division yet. A player cannot reject scouting trips. You offer 10 scouting trips initially (less if you want to get lucky and spend more time, but also risk getting into battles), wait till next cycle. If he's not considering you, offer more scouting trips. Most I have spent was 17 to land a guy and have him consider me (successfully pulling down).

4) Pulldown successful, he will sign with you. But if he's considering you and another team, you can now offer him CV and HV as well and he will accept them, because he's already pulled down and can be recruited as a D3 player.

True, you cannot pull down a D3 to D2 with a schollie offer. But you can find out if they are willing with the schollie offer. If they reject the offer then you can move on. You don't  have to call them 10 times to find out if you are in their league...

You only need to call them 1x, not 10x to see if you are in their league.

I can call 10 different recruits for $100 and find out if I can pull any of them down for the $100 you spend on a scholarship offer to see if you can pull one guy down.

You're wasting $90 for the same info, basically.

Like I said again... i've been met with resistance.. I would offer to a new coach that information time and time again.
Ok, please tell me what "met with resistance" means. What did the phone call say. Or do you mean he rejected your phone call or he accepted your phone call and didn't generate a response. Either of them means he cannot be pulled down.

A new coach doesn't know what that means??? or Am I wrong again??

How do you know who you can pull down??? How do you know who you can sign???

What are you referring to? You are purposely having a new coach waste money on recruits. I generally start with 10-20 players within my 300miles to generate a pulldown list, and that list expands to maybe 30-50 to see if a player can potentially drop down. I spend $100-200 initially, and maybe up to $500. If I use your method, I would be spending $1000-2000 initially, and up to $5000, or most of my budget.

Look at my previous post. It tells you which kind of phone message means the player can be pulled down.

From my post on page 2:

""I spoke with David Piatt and he told me straight up that we're a backup option if his top schools don't come through. Let's keep him on the 'maybe' list."

Or

"Hey coach, honestly, Transylvania is a fallback option for me at this stage. Just being honest - honestly. Keep in touch. Seriously. Do it..do it."

Or

"I called David Bartlett 10 times, left 4 messages, before he finally called me back. He's pretty sure that he's going to get an offer from a 'big time program' but we are an option for him if that falls through."

The above messages means he can be pulled down (edit to make it more clear)

If he rejects phone call, or says the following or says something like "coach stop calling me, slam!" "if this is anyone other than _____ university, please feel free to leave a message" or if your asst coach tells you  "_____ is more excited about a pair of underwear  than us, I think we should move on" then this player cannot be pulled down."

You can pull down anyone that gives you the 3 backup messages that tianyi listed previously.  Anyone you can pull down, you can sign.
