With post-season tournaments about to begin, let’s take a look back at my predictions for season 40.
What I got right –
North Alabama – Predicted 6-21, Actual 6-21. The rebuild continues as scheduled.
Incarnate Word – Predicted 20-12 PIT Semis, Actual 17-11 PIT. A semis run would be a perfect match.
Valdosta State – Predicted 24-7 NT 2nd, Actual 21-8 NT. As an 8 seed NT 2nd seems rather likely at best.
Rockhurst – Predicted 18-13 PIT Semis, Actual 15-13 PIT. Semis run would = 18-14…
What I messed up, the 
West Florida – Predicted 16-14 PIT 2nd, Actual 22-7 NT. Another 8 seed looking for a shot at number 1…
St. Mary’s – Predicted 17-13 PIT 2nd, Actual 23-5 NT. A most under-appreciated 13 seed.
What I messed up, the 
OPSU – Predicted 17-12 NT 1st, Actual 16-12 PIT. A near miss, but a big difference.
Lincoln – Predicted 15-13, Actual 6-23. The problem with talented youth is the talent is wasted on the young. Next season will see better things.
Montevallo – Predicted 13-14, Actual 6-21. Ripping up a program and rebuilding it with your bare hands is a man’s work, and Pjbrankin has some more work in the future. This too shall pass.
What I messed up, the WTF? 
St. Edward’s – Predicted 17-10 NT 1st, Actual 12-18. Turns out those juniors didn’t give quite the performance I expected and I’m sure brad was hoping for. A tough season with some growing pains. How will the Hilltoppers respond in season 41?
