Rowan County hit a 3 to send the game into 2OT. Christian County hit a last second basket to win 65-63 (2OT).  

Of the 16 teams, Christian County was rated 4th and Rowan County 10th.  Christian County defeated the #1 and #3 teams in route to their first championship

One of the most-talked about players was Braxton Beverly from Perry County Central. In their opening round loss, the 7th-grader scored 23 points with 2 assists and 2 steals.  In Kentucky, 7th-graders are permitted to play varsity basketball.
