37-35 after 9 games.  Would look much better if the Phils weren't such bums at 1-8 (at least they got their first win though!).

By the way, 9-0 with the Tigers is pretty impressive.

My '99 Pedro is 0-3, 4.74 so far. I should have spent the money and gone with the 2000 model, I guess.

So far, '68 Gibson and '43 Chandler are a combined 0-6 through 9 starts and '30 Hack Wilson is homerless through 16 games.

Gotta love it.

That really doesn't surprise me, actually.   I used Hack in last season of crazystengel's Random Captain league and he posted a mammoth .255/.361/.387 line with 15 homers.

This just in...

Power hitters tend to severely underperform in high cap leagues, especially if there are a lot of deadball pitchers in the league.  (Which is why most of my teams did not draft power hitters, if there were other decent options available).

So then why are Banks and Sosa having no problem?  Luckily I drafted 300 HR on my Cubs team, so I anticipate we can hang in there until Hack comes around

My other teams have bounced back nicely, but another horrible performance by Gibson drops him to 0-4 in 7 starts, and my Cards to 5-17

Gibson loses again.  Even if there was an unlimited cap (which there clearly isn't), there's no way Bob Gibson should ever be 0-5 through 8 starts, with a 6.14 ERA, .302 OAV and 4.15 BB/9.  Absolutely ridiculous.

Your Bob Gibson is my Russ Ford.   I went a little light on IPs on my Yankees franchise (only 1423 good innings or 1475 incl. mopup).  But because Ford (0.88 whip, 1.65 ERA in real life) has been completely horrendous (1.84 whip, 6.70 era), my bullpen has been overworked and I'm close to Fatigue Hell
