I don't think it's going to go so much on the percentages this time, it's just whatever position they're specified as. So if they're a "pg", you can only draft them in the pg round.

Well, the subs round too I guess, but only for seasons with less than 2000 minutes.

coach, have another look at the rules. i changed the eligibility. bargearse is right, it's no longer about 100%, rather, what the wis data base lists them as.

I'm not thinking #1 is the best draft slot. I'll be picking 23rd or 24th 4 out of 6 rounds from a depleted pool. Slot 12 seems like the best one here.

lol... not really logain... i think it's about even for all... i could be wrong... if you are convinced of this, let me know, and i'll swap with ya.

nah I was just thinking out loud, I still want number 1... the nice thing is I don't have to do a ton of research for each round. Pick out my number 1 guys for whatever two rounds I get.. and then just see whos left at the end the rest of the time.

it's a funny thing... with each new nba year, wis continues to add more and more seasons, and more players.... i think we are on the verge of having  24 top tier players at any position. there will always be elite players, but that pool continues to grow too. recently, we have added lebron, paul, wade, kobe, garnett to the elites... and soon, will be adding kevin love, durant, derrick rose, noah, etc to that pool. so, for you to see what players drop to you, is actually, an advantage because of the turnaround. that is why is other draft leagues, i always prefer to be the 24th owner to draft.

In at 10, I'll blacklist B Walton and S Marion.

hey, robo! welcome! 10 it is, hombre. buy gold, buy silver

Sold silver at 47- talk about timing the pendulum- at 35 I think it is still to high but if it goes below 25 a definite buy.

Incidentally Beernoser and myself are at opposite extremes in the draft positioning theory. He wants to be in the middle because he hates seeing so many people go by, I always want to be on the turn, especially in baseball, because it lessens the tension of pitcher? or hitter? as you just take one of each. But...

that is baseball and in Basketball I find much less value at drafting on the turn. I'm not a 100% convert to drafting in the middle, but it is growing on me. In this sport only.....

Personally, I love drafting near the turn but not exactly at it.

For purposes of drafting strategy I also like picking in the middle, but just hate having to wait so long in between picks.

my favorite spot is always no. 24

Good the cups half full. Bad the cups half empty. Have the altered rules scared some owners away. Most challenging league going guys. Where's the love?

OK, I'll give this one a go.  Since I finished 20th in the BOWIS, I will take the 20th draft position.  I will blacklisst Manu Ginobili and Bill Russell (dont think I saw him on the list)
5/11/2011 3:18 AM
I'll play- will post soon my blacklisters and my slot preference!
Thanks for running this
