Why Obama is wrong about immigration! Topic

Don't get me wrong.  America is a great place to work.   But, if you're running the business, there's a reason you outsource whatever you can.  It's cheaper and those people know they'll be fired, with no repercussions, if they don't do the job.

A friend of mine is the head of collections for an international company.   Last year, they outsourced phone collections to India.  At the time, he asked his superiors "How in the hell can I run an office in India from the US with a couple of visits a year?"   They said "If they're not doing the job, you fire them and hire more.  There are 10 people standing outside the door for every 1 inside who'd love to have a chance to earn some money."  Can't do that in America.

Let us just assume that swamp's point is that you need to make some form of statistical comparison with other countries, not just bemoan what happens here.

Let's not.   Simply because we protect our workers, incompetent and stupid alike, like no other country in the world.  Let's not pretend that companies outsource simply because it's cheaper. Americans are fat and lazy.   If you don't think so, take a walk.

In fact, isn't swamp a lardass of some reknown?   Doesn't he post here during work hours?    He's a fine example of the problems with the American workforce.

Wow. The bar was set so low, and you still wouldn't step over it. Lazy American.

Don't you post here during work hours?

Although you probably leech of the labor of your employees while providing nothing of value have your own business.

Without businesses, no one has a job.  Remember that next time you say "It ain't my money.  I seriously do not care."

Those people are standing there because there is no other place to stand. That country has people everywhere.

And I am in fact fat. I do post during working hours.

I also get the job done. I go out of my way to keep informed about my industry. I believe in and defend my Corporation.

Not because I have to, but becuase I choose to. I am the face of American Exceptionalism!

Because you "get the job done" doesn't mean you're productive.   Sometimes it takes me two hours to do my yard work, sometimes it takes me three hours.  What I need to do doesn't change as my yard doesn't get larger but my efficiency varies from week to week.

If you'd take care of yourself, you'd feel better.  If you felt better, you'd be able to do more.
If you weren't posting here when you're working, you'd be available for more work.  If you're available for more work, you do more.

There you go.

And again every argument you have is anecdotal. I produced the only overall data.

Stories about lost prodictivity are only relevant if every other nation does not have the same losses.

I can post stories about Europeans watching soccer. Also irrelevant.

Again can you produce any STUDY OR REPORT from any source that supports your "Lazy American" theory??

I'm not your research monkey.   You've already admitted, and proven my point, that you think productive is getting the job done.  It isn't.  If you're quoted 1 hour labor on something, you're not letting them bill you 5 hours because that's how long it took them.   But you do that to your employer every day because you're putzing around on the internet trying to argue that you're a productive worker.

You have been watching too many of those old Star Trek's, Mr. Spock would like this!

And I produced a major study that supports my views. I did the research. I want you to be your own Research Monkey!

If you want to stand on the myth that Americans are fat and lazy (as opposed to the truth that we are just fat) You need to support your claim!
