To all the owners I just sent out invites to...please jelp us out and join this league.  It is so damn hard to fill these theme leagues in football, but they are usually way more fun and interesting than open leagues.  Take a chance, give it a shot.  You wont be disappointed. 

Main reason is that all the best players are going to be EXCLUSIVE, meaning only ONE team will have the ;07 Brady, only one team will have the '75 Simpson and so on.  How boring is it in open leagues to see 3 or 4 Simpsons leading in rushing, and 4 or 5 Brady's leading in passing catagories?  NOT IN THIS LEAGUE!  That alone should make this league more fun.

For those who are curious how I am going to randomly decide what positions get drafted when....I will use the NY state quick draw at this link:

I will use the first draws of the day after we fill.  The positions are numbered as follows:

QB  01
RB1  02
RB2 03
WR1 04
WR2 05
TE 06
Defense 07
O-line 08

Whichever of those numbers comes up first is what we draft first, which comes up second is our second round and so on.

Lets say we have a draft, by position, with eight rounds:  QB, 2 RB's, 2 WR's, TE, Defense and Offensive line.

We would have a snake draft 1-24 then 24-1 and so forth.

I will randomly decide which position gets drafted first and then the order.

Each player that gets drafted, becomes yours exclusively, including team defense (I.E. if you pick the Steelers, no one else can use ANY Steelers defense)

The rest of your team can be filled out using non-exclusive players in whatever amounts you want, provided roster is standardly WIS legal.

When you sign up below, please indicate what draft position you would like.  I will choose once we have the 15th owner in.

Don't be intimidated babykong.  You will see, its easier than it sounds, and quite fun.

It seems there is quite a bit of nervousness out there about this draft idea, or confusion about how this will work, or what is the league number etc.  Guys, its not rocket science.  I will use the NY state lottery quick draw to figure out the order of positions to be drafted.  It will be totally random.

Once I do that, everyone will be sitemailed to let everyone know we are starting the draft.  I will put up draft times on the site, so that everyone knows which hour they have to get their pick in.  We can get ahead if people are ready to make their pick.  You make it right here in the forum OR you can sitemail the pick to me via proxy...IE, if you know you are unavailable at your pick time, send a list of possible guys you would pick at that spot and I will give you the highest guy on your list who has not been picked.

Each guy who is picked becomes that teams player exclusively, meaning no other team can draft him.  After eight rounds, when the draft is done, I will fill out the rest of my team and get a league number and sitemail it to everyone else.  The draft itself should take about a week or so give or take.  If you are on the fence, try it...you will like it!  I was like that about a basketball league that I based this on, and by the end of the draft, I wanted to do it again, it was so fun and interesting.  With just four spots left, better grab yours quick.

My God, this is like pulling teeth!  Don't we have FOUR more owners with some balls???
