Obama...Quit State Senator, Quit Senator....Wish he would quit his current job!
I know you like to roll it out every once in a while but it wasn't a valid comeback the first time and it's not now - politicians do that all the time, it's an accepted practice.  At least he was still serving the public instead of leaving his constituents to line his pockets with $$$.

How many books has he written about his life?  I guess that money didn't line any pockets of his.

So lets see. Is she not running because she is too lazy or because of the trashing the left has given her....

Ran for Miss Alaska, Ran for heat of PTA, Ran for Mayor, Ran for Governor, Ran for Vice-President.

Sorry...your analysis is incorrect!

"Prinaries are about orginization, and it may be too late for anyone to jump in."

You're giving her a built-in excuse, if she wants it bad enough and is the person you claim she is, she'll get off her lazy *** and start organizing.

Was he still serving his constituency at the time?  I think so.
At least he didn't shirk his responsibilities while making a fast buck.

If someone is intent on lining pockets, I'd rather they not do it on my dime.  Resigning is a better option, IMO>

When YOU sign his paychecks, I'm sure he'll take that under advisement.

10/27/2011 1:39 PM
As a taxpayer, I do "sign" his paychecks.  I'd like the President to do Presidential stuff rather than write his memoir(s).   Call me crazy.   Look around, the US isn't exactly being well-run.   Less writing of personal experiences and more fixing of the US.

I guess it's OK if you're outraged about the President writing books on company time; I was similarly outraged when Dubya took off a whole month to play cowboy on his ranch, while terrorists were learning to fly airplanes into buildings.

Congrats.  It took you four hours to say "BUSH, BUSH, BUSH......"

Is that a record for you?
10/27/2011 3:50 PM
I thought I showed a fair amount of restraint.

Look you're going to have to accept the fact that Bush did damage to our economy, involved us in two illegal wars and started chipping away at our freedoms.  Just because he is out of office does not let him off the hook.

Bush is responsible and history will view it as such - no matter how much you want to pawn it all off on Obama.  Obama has not lived up to his promises and the economy has not improved; he'll have to face the American people and ask to continue for another four years.  If he fails on another term, he will get as much blame as Bush receives.

It's dishonest that you equate pointing out Bush's failures as acceptance of Obama's.  Somehow I get the feeling that if the supporters of the next President blame Obama for the mess, you won't give Obama the pass that you are giving Bush.

No pass given to Bush.  But I can't change the past.  It's up to our current President to change the future.   History has been written and won't be re-written.   But, if our current leader is busy writing memoirs instead of doing what he was elected to do, history isn't going to speak well of him either.

I just think it's sad that every defense of Obama either starts or ends with "Bush".

Who didn't give Bush a pass?

10/27/2011 4:52 PM
We weren't talking about Bush.   At all.  Until jim said "Yeah, maybe, but Bush......."
