Do I have a legitimate gripe (re: Jobs) Topic

fatchance-if you take TSU you have to still let me win at least once every season.

Hey shqipta that sounds fair for now. After that I may renegotiate the terms to something like 3 out of 4 to my way. Deal?

Works for me.

Here is a bump just so that some newer folks can see that we have been ******** about the jobs process for going on 4 years...

I think this game is near its potential with how good it'll ever be, almost any change proposed on the forums is met with harsh criticism and opposition from at least some people. Yet the job logic is one of the few issues that the majority of the community agree is **** and there is no response from WIS. I think the solution is pretty obvious too:

1. Make it easier to get hired, the longer the job period goes on, the lower their standards become. If a job is still open within the last few hours, it almost should be an automatic hire (I'm sure a better solution could be discussed).

2. Make it easier to get fired. You got the B prestige Florida job with only leading your low D1 team to a couple PI's? Don't be surprised when you get fired after your 5th season if you haven't had any postseason success. This would also kill the complaint that some users have that D1 jobs get too stagnant

Just my opinions...

maybe if people got fired they would attempt to get better their so many crappy coaches I can't understand how they don't improve and seem to be working on it...

Sims schools take forever to lose prestige too. It can be 4-5 seasons before a school hits B- when starting in the A- or better range. There should be a larger penalty and a PI bid for a big 6 schools should be a DECREASE in prestige not an increase.

I have to say that overall you bring a lot of enthusiasm and good ideas to the game but (and this is only meant as constructive criticism) you can also come off as an arrogant, condescending ***** at times. Many, many coaches don't take this game nearly as serious as you do. Many, many coaches have this thing called real life that takes up a lot of their time. I think I remember you saying once, or at least get the impression, that you're a college student somewhere, yes? Sorry if I'm wrong but for a lot of people this is just a hobby, a break from the grind of the real world, from the job, from the family, from everything. But that's ALL it is to a lot of coaches, something to do in their spare time. So if they're "crappy coaches" in your eyes, that "don't seem to be working on it", step back for a second, take a deep breath, exhale, and remember that at the end of the day this is nothing but a ******* game, not life or ******* death, and that's how a lot of coaches view it.......as a game. Have a nice day and chill the **** out.

You don't need to spend a lot of time to be good or get good. I'm not saying they have to spend 8 hours a day to get better, because that's not what is required. When I first started it was a hobby I checked twice a day to gameplan over the summer, I didn't put in more than 10-20 minutes total a day, and I still managed to get good because I sitemailed early to get better.

Probably only need a few sitemails to get good and just follow that advice over a period of time.

When you see coaches with 20+ seasons of nothing you wonder how they find enjoyment from their hobby when they don't do anything.

i mean i could honestly set people up to be consistent 20-25 win teams and a 1st/2nd round team every year with a few sitemails. I feel thats not that hard if the goal is to just mess around and "enjoy" it, because 10-15 wins doesn't seem like it provides any enjoyment.

"Different strokes for different folks." "To each their own." And all those other worn out cliches. You're smart enough to figure out what I mean without me having to explain....
