My mom read the Lord of the Rings books to me when I was a kid, so I always had a soft spot for the story and the characters.  When the movies came out, I thought the Witchking of Angmar was the baddest mother****** in them (I even bought the helmet that he wears for myself for Christmas one year.  The damn thing weighs 23 pounds.  Not some cheesy plastic thing and certainly not cheap.  It's mounted on a shelf right above my monitor), so I stole the location he ruled.  Hey, I figured if I had his helmet, I might as well take everything! 

Mine is so creative it would take a genius to figure it out, simply my initials and birthday.  Now seriously, if I hadn't given that info up, is there ANYBODY who could have guessed that?  Anybody?  Anyone at all?  If you raised your hand, you're lying!


Also use dcy0827, which are............wait for it..........wait........... my son's initials and birthday.  Again, basically unsolveable.

This.  I'm two years into grad school now but still use dahsjacob as my primary username since I'm used to it.  dahsjacob was also my first WIS account, but I made a number to play the free SLB Spring seasons (I was in high school, so it's not like I had a lot of disposable).  After a free SLB promotion both accounts did well, but I had more sustained success with this account and continued to play entirely for free for several years.  My 2nd SLB team on dahsjacob lost in the division series, which wasn't enough to buy a full team.  Since then I've been a lot less serious about the site, but still spend a lot of time on the forums and studying the games.  Not necessarily as much time as I should spend on SLB team creation or recruiting/gameplanning in HD.

I actually have no idea where I got my username from.  I have hundreds of them and as an avid writer I find it pretty easy to just make up random names.  So I love the word phenom and am fascinated by the words solar/solstice, etc. and liked the idea of somewhat of a double meaning of sol in sol_phenom.  That and I love underscores.  And the three is just because I made a one and a two back when freehd was around, but ended up loading most of my seasons onto this account.

On a Simpson Episode many year ago Homer became a crime fighting superhero known as "Pie Man".  As a high school math teacher, I just dropped the "e" and became Piman.  The 314 is of course for pi - 3.14

My name comes from my first dog that I got that was actually mine instead of my family's (I walked him, fed him, he slept in my bed, etc.) Hes black so I just decided to use blackdog as pretty much all my usernames. The 3377 is because blackdog is taken on almost every site already and 3 and 7 have always been my jersey numbers.

I LOVED the Colonels...Louie Dampier, Dan Issel, Artis Gilmore.....the owner John Y. Brown, who made his fortune in Kentucky Fried Chicken, and his glamorous wife, Miss America Phyllis George.

Because of an error on my part, I have 2 user names. coachvegas44, I use for about everything. I was a basketball coach for 20 years in California. The last 10 were as a JUCO coach. I retired in 1998 and moved to Las Vegas. Every one continued to call my coach. The 44 is year of birth.

Coachcali, is because of a silly error I made in HD. When I decided to get a second team in a different world than Rupp, I found a team in Crum. As I started to reserve my team I looked away for a second and hit the button for SUNY Geneso instead of the button below it for the actual team I wanted, SUNY Oswego. I didn't want Genesco. It ran the wrong "O" & "D" and I didn't like the personnel at all. I reserved way early, a little over halfway thru the current season. I contacted Admin, explained my error and asked if I could change to the team I wanted, because it was still available or get it when signups started again. That was not acceptable. After the season started some one suggested that since it would be no conflict, just use another username and reserve a team I wanted for the next season.

That's my stories and I'm sticking to them! LOL. 

I don't usually think "glamorous" when I hear the name Phyllis.  Then again, I'm not from Kentucky :)

Yeah, I do this alot. I love writing as well, and so sometimes I just think about cool usernames.

Every now and then I see one on here I especially like.
