The decline of WIS Topic

not sure you followed the post - in June in a response to a blast about their neglect of the NBA sim support states 'we now have more time to work on our product' and then a month later in July they state essentially 'we didnt say we were going to spend that time on the NBA sim' - now it is August and...?

this is absolutely 100% par for the course with these guys, nothing has changed whatsoever

so to be clear I complained about the quality of the nba sim and your on-going neglect and then you said 'we have more time and we should be seeing updates to current product' and then a month later you're saying 'well not unrestricted timee and not improvements to the specific game we've been talking about" and now it's almost another month later and frankly we've seen nothing for any of your current product that I'm aware of? do you see how this could be depicted as complete bullshit?

do you intend at any time in the next 3 months to address the myriad issues with your nba sim?

I think we should organize a flood of site-mails to Admin. about this.  I'm going to copy, paste and send felonius' 8/13 message right now.  I'd encourage others to do the same.

oddly enough to date there has been no response from admin to either of my queries

There wasn't one. The original ticket on this subject has already been forwarded to Admin. If they have a response they will send it to you directly. It will not come from here. You can assured they have received your message. There is no need to send anymore tickets to here as I can't answer your question. Thanks.

In reading the responses from customer support, it is evident that the people who control the ability to give answers haven't even bothered to proof read their messages before sending them to the designated target. 'you can assured'

This might be the problem in itself. How can you guys ever expect to get solid answers, when the person writing the replies has no ability to structure sentences.
8/19/2012 11:12 PM
Hey, at least some of you get responses.  I'm still waiting over a week later.
8/21/2012 12:11 PM
Finally an answer.  A laughable one, but at least it's an answer.

Do you intend at any time in the next 3 months to address the myriad of issues with your nba sim? You remember that, right? The product you've ignored for years.

Over a week and no response. Great Customer Service. Since I doubt I'll ever get a response, I'll just ask that you read some of the threads in the SIM League Basketball Forum.

Butch,

We are aware of the fact we have not been able to provide a significant update to some of our games in quite some time. For those of us that have been at WhatIfSports since its early days, it's probably as painful for us as it is for our customers.

We are a small company and the number of products we support both on WhatIfSports.com and FOXSports.com and elsewhere has grown tremendously. As a result, we can only work on so many projects at a time. Some of our smaller games (such as SimLeague Basketball) don't get updated as frequently as they used to.

That said, we continue to read suggestions and build our "wish list" of future product updates. We are currently developing a significant SimLeague Baseball redesign with our other SimLeague offerings in mind.

We appreciate your patience and continued support of SLBK. It's our hope, as it is yours, to address any existing flaws and add new features as soon as time and resources permit.

Thank you

if that werent the same exact message as 2 years ago and also contradictory of what support told me about having more time you'd really have to think better times were just around the corner

Baseball needs more attention?  You'd think they were reinventing the wheel with the number of updates baseball sees.  And what the hell does "with our other SimLeague offerings in mind" even mean?
8/22/2012 10:47 AM
Lots of stuff can be changed that is not related to in-game mechanics. For example.. we could get league chaining.. like baseball got years and years ago.. and hockey got like 4 years ago.. Things like that they could do to baseball and easily translate to all of their simleague games. I think that is what "with our other SimLeague offerings in mind" probably refers to.
