The few times we've had...ahem...discussions on the forums, we haven't agreed, but I wish you the best with the new child and the move.  Also, I hope you'll return in a few months, once things have settled down again.  Good luck to you.

Just curious what is the project you're working on?

I think this is the 1st time I've visited the forums in months but I'm glad I did. Sorry to see you go billyg but best of luck. I used to be a lot like you as I spent a ton a time in the forums and sitemails. I even wrote a guide that I would give to new coaches who asked me a lot of questions (Its long since lost unfortunately). I was getting burnt out after a couple years and had a lot of changes going on in my life so I distanced myself. I've considered retirement multiple times but I still enjoy recruiting and running successful programs. Try keeping a team or 2 and stay away from the forums and sitemails. Just focus on your team and conference and see if there is still some of the passion there. Even if you miss days at a time who cares. It worked for me and I'm still going strong. I bet you've got enough reward points to play for free for a long time if you'd want to.

As with so many here, have a few sheets of legal paper covered with notes from your observations about the game.  Hopefully, like George Foreman and Bret Favre, among others, you will unretire.
