This is a very good League at $48 million. At least 1 "lesser" team, that 20+ guys pass on always seem to make a Playoff run.
Never a dull moment, and things never go "as expected".
Come join the fun.
I like the $48 million cap.  It's a big help to my Sonics team especially since I'm using a season of Durant from the Thunder.  Gasp!!!

I've done some thought on this...I've decided to pass on round 3. Someone can have the bulls team. Maybe I will start my own league later with a lower cap. I understand it's easier to draft with more money, but I feel this league can be re imagined in a new format that will be more fun for experienced owners. I will keep you all posted and Goodluck to all of you in Rd 3. : )

$48 Mil is very good cap for this.  Any lower and the quality will be lower than OL's (since you don't get the benefit of the rookies).  Anymore and Golden State and LAL become unstoppable.

Good teams still available too.  Bucks, Heat, Magic, Nuggets, Nets, and Hawks are all available

If the Bulls are now available, I will choose them over the Wiz

I'd like to change my team to the Raptors, if possible

OL's ?? Everyone has the same money to spend regardless. Why would ANY team have an advantage unless there are franchises that can't pay out the full cap because they don't have talent to match the elite franchises. You guys keep saying all teams are competitive in this format... but do you believe a team like Charlotte could take the championship EVER?!? Let's just call it like it is.. nobody wants to play with less money and field teams that shoot in the 40 to 45% range. You aren't pulling wool over my eyes. Might as well make the cap 70 mil... lesser franchises will never be at the top in these leagues.

I'm going to guess you haven't played a whole lot. There are 30 available teams or more depending on what you draft. Many teams will not get drafted, but I think you could field a decent team with Charlotte.

To prove it I will take a second team...Give me the Hornets.

Potential owners, please don't let one part-timer's opinion scare you off this League. Instead look at all the much more experienced, much more successful owners who are returning for the 2nd or 3rd time. They probably have a much better feel for what is possible and what is not than someone who does less than two teams a year, yet for some unknown reason feels it's OK to hijack someone else's thread where they are trying to recruit owners for their League. Very lame move. Don't believe this naysayer; come join us for some very competitive fun.

I took the Hornets last year and just missed the playoffs, and I blame that on my poor coaching.  If they had squeaked in I have every confidence that Glen Rice would have caught fire and they would have cruised to the title.  BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Well said.

I have seen many of these league won by "lesser" franchises.  The problem so many have is that there is an embarrassment of riches when it comes to many franchises.  You feel you have to use X player because they are an iconic member of the franchise, but in many ways they may be a poor fit.

Seriously do you think I put T Mac on my Rockets squad?  Aww HELLLLL NO!  No room at this cap level.

These are always fun leagues...but I am serious.  I think I can field a competitive team with the Hornets as a second team so sign me up!

I think the lower cap makes using teams like the Lakers, who have all sorts of high salary big name players, a definite challenge.

Well the point is that you can't just pile up on Laker greats. If you spend 10 on a low usage Wilt season, no Shaq or Kareem. If you insist on a full season on Magic, you probably can't pair him with Kobe. My Blazers team doesn't have Lamarcus, Brandon Roy, or Lillard. This cap just means you have to make choices. If a Hornets owner can't make room for a decent team, that's on him.

I think the cap is just about perfect for this league - prevents the "stocked" franchises from dominating, but does not make drafting an impossibility.

Has no one seriously taken the Heat yet? I will take them if they are available
