Don't listen to these guys. It is much more rewarding to build something from the ground up!

However, if your goal is to either move up divisions, or make the tournament ASAP, then it makes sense to go.

Personally, I enjoy building from the ground up, though.
I plan on staying long term. I am making up my record in division 2 like I have previously said. I am eventully going to have to change the class structure.

Record not that important when trying to build a program up to its max potential. Atleast that's the case to me. Yes building a program can be very rewarding

Once I hit division 2, i'll make a quick jump to division 1 low major. Build a program again perhaps build a good conference. I haven't thought that far through yet.

I need some advice on how to change the class structure to a winning structure. Its poorly setup right now, its obvious that i'm going to have to do it when I have loads of freshman and sophomores. But i'm going to put that off for later.

not when its your first time playing the game and you had a less than stellar recruiting class, you can't learn anything about gameplanning while rebuillding because your team is so bad it doesn't matter.

rebuilding isn't even fun later on, it's never fun, personally I don't find it more rewarding at all, winning>everything. Doesn't matter how you got there, as long as you keep it going it doesn't matter.

Switching to a better school makes it more fun and you can actually learn about the game since your decisions will matter to the outcomes to the game, because right now and for the next few seasons at the absolute extreme best your looking at maybe just maybe 8-10 wins, but most likely 6ish on average imo with that talent. That's not fun, and it doesn't matter if he does eventually build it up because it's going to be at least 5 seasons until they are respectable which is not until almost October.
I am glad you have figured out what is or is not fun for you.

Doesn't mean it's the case for everyone.

theres a reason people don't stay in this game for a long time and it's because they don't enjoy going 0-27 and 4-23 for consecutive seasons.... it's not just me, I guarentee if there was a poll a majority if not 75%+ would agree rebuilds suck in this game and aren't worth it when you are starting out
most people don't even make it far enough to where they post on the forums, they just give up. Watch Allen first off 75% of the people probably didn't even log in a 2nd time and of those who did 24% quit after the first season since they'll be lucky to win a handful of games with no clue of whats going on and don't feel lke shelling out money just to get to 5 wins the next season..

you honestly think its fun to go 0-27 4-23 6-21 and 8-18? Because thats what he's looking at coming up. I don't think anyone would say thats fun. When you can switch to a better school actually win some games and learn how to play.

I like rebuilds, but he has a lot of players he recruited before he knew what he was doing, that are crappy and will make it hard to win for the next 4 years. To me rebuilds are fun if you can get a good group of players. But that ship has kind of sailed.

So, almost everybody quits HD because they're ******* that can't take losing at something they don't immediately understand...just wanna get some clarification so I'm not 'off message' on this one, because I thought our 'talking points' were much much different???

That was a sweet victory I am sure. At least now a win has been experienced

When I first started playing again, I had forgot everything i had learned from before. I got a job a Roanoke, which was a crappy team with no good players. I had made a couple of bad recruiting decisions, I made a couple if good ones to, but I ended up with 4 wins and not feeling good about the game, I left to go to A- Rutgers at Newark that just lost its coach, went to the NT that first year and learned how to play the game. As it turns out the Roanoke team I left went PIT that year and the NT the next, so the the team I left wasn't that bad, but getting immediate success was great.

Of course people want immediate success, its the short attention span of many. I don't believe that people even try to learn the game let alone learn the nuances when taking over a successful; program with a mid to high prestige and chock full of remaining talent. I see many that do this and then when the team fails because of poor recruiting they move on to another team that has similar attributes as the previous they destroyed.

Personally I am with the rebuild crowd. It does take time and patience and mistakes in recruiting, which I have done like most people in the game, can be deadly, but rebuilding has its own rewards in gratification that it truly is your team and your prestige that you accomplished.

this sums it up nicely. stick it out and rebuild if you want, more power to you, but at this point it would be easier to start fresh somewhere - not meaning you should cherry pick the best program - but even something C prestige with a couple decent players and a lot of seniors/juniors would be great, give you the chance to start over.
