Again, prestige is virtually meaningless at D2. Stop thinking about it.
Does it help in resume at all?
No. Stop thinking about it.
If you're asking about your resume already, then your goals aren't really at Miles, are they?
I'm setting short term goals in Miles, I am staying for a max "10 seasons" before I decide to leave for division 1 hopefully qualify for big 6 jobs. I followed through with everything you said and answered your blank question marks as I have stated in a previous statement.
Not trying to be mean here or anything of the sort but your current record and resume has nothing encouraging in it and more than nothing that says that you're far from ready for D1, let alone a BCS job. You really need to learn how to win some games and then some NT games at D2 before you even begin to think about jumping to a BCS school. Right now, you'd be eaten alive in a BCS conference. You'd probably be eaten alive in nearly ANY D1 conference at this point in time. You need to inject some realism into your goals and learn the game at this level very well before you even begin to think about promoting up. Whether you have a 10 year max mark to shoot for or not, if you can't win it doesn't matter.
And for what it's worth, it's not as easy to move to D1 as it is to move from D3 to D2. To move to D1 you actually have to WIN games, not just coach in them.
Sorry if that comes off as harsh but that's simply the truth and a realistic assessment of where your coaching abilities are at this point in time. You've won 19 games total in 4 seasons. What in the world would cause you to believe that you're ready even close to being ready to bang heads with the big boys in D1? Even 10 seasons from now I can't see you being ready for a BCS team, not without a HUGE jump in coaching abilities. You need to learn how to play the game at a much higher level of expertise before you even think about moving up. Not much difference between D3 and D2 so now's the time for you to really begin to learn how to play the game.
